I got on last week but couldn't post. Hopefully this one goes through.

I'm from Ohio, the Akron area but more specific Kent area. I'm putting together a Johnny Cash truck, a 67-72. It originally was a 68 but had a 67 back glass. Since the original purchase to many years ago to mention I've acquired trucks and many parts. I finally told myself it is go time.

In the near future I think a lift will find it's way to my building. Add that to an old forklift that my junkyard buddy willed me and a new engine hoist I might have a chance.

I've got most of the parts I need but might search here for something better. Add to the fact I would like to get rid of some which would be a good start for someone.

My plan is a 1968 stepside, 87 camaro tpi motor, 700R4 tranny which found it's way to the junkyard. It's good to know people. It's already down to the frame and I've got quite a few things I'm going to bounce off you guys to avoid wasting time plopping parts from various vehicles.

My leftover parts are mostly fleetside and 8' bed parts. A couple of really good engines and trans. Many, many misc interior. Most of the things have been stored inside.

Sorry so long but with a return of a tax check is going to be a starting point for a go. Any help would be appreciated. Starting with a switchover to 5 lug from 6. I already have front disc 5 lug but am looking into what I need to be careful of with a rear end selection/changes and good gear ratio.

I haven't seen many stepside posters in my hours of searching. To hard to find good beds?

Thanks for the warm wecolme. I have been looking for a site with members catered to 67-73 chevs. I have a 72 k/5 Blazer, (3rd one). Reserected from the dead. Its Been a trip, frame up restored, 3" body lift, not my idea and 33s make it a blast to drive. Its comp. orange and black top/int. Slite engine mods with side exhaust, I know but its sounds good. Hope to send pics.if I can figure out the dig. camera.

Thanks for the replies. What seems to be the most active posting time? What are the other member benefits? I know $25 is no big deal. Just asking.
