Does anyone have any pics of old school/rat rod 47-55's, I need some ideas, and alot of motivation..I will probably go with satin or flat black, with some sort of shop truck logo..Iwould like to go with chrome reverse rims, with spider caps, and wide whites, but my budget(or lack there of)will probably force me to use the camaro rims i have..A friend of mine in Illinois sandblasted his camaro rims, and they looked pretty cool..In fact its on e-bay now..Any thoughts or pics would be great..This is a pic of his truck

I'm using my old tires on steel rims that I will paint truck colour. I'm going to use a set of 3" porta whites for now. I'm going with thin trim rings and small centers..

These are my rollers. I may have to use them until I save some$$$ for the 17" Cragars I want. They are off of a '77 Oldsmobile Delta 88. 15" steel wheels with hub caps. I went to the local hot rod shop and bought 4 chrome cone center caps to cover the Olds emblem.

This is my '49. It's been my daily driver for about 4 years now. It has Mustang II front and Camero rear. I have a '98 vette rear end that I'm wanting to put in soon.
This is my first post here, I just got logged on this morning.

Welcome to the site, you will enjoy the information and responses from some very knowledgable folks.
Nice ride I like your velocity stack, that is a first, does it have a air cleaner inside? Do you have any trouble with the rear fenders
coming loose with the wind at speeds on the 202!!!

Awesome old truck, thats what I thought of doing with mine..My Brother has an ironhead sporty rigid chop, with skulls, and such, and would look cool together if i'd have to haul it for him,(pretty likely,at least it was this year!!!)..Welcome,and post lots of pics..

I have a filter sitting on top of the spittoon. The bowl bottom of the spittoon gives it a little flat spot at low RPM so I usually just put it on for shows. I wanted to build something different.

No I haven't. Does it help?

It depends on your cam,and if your initial and total advance are within the magic numbers. 10* to 12* initial and 34* total. I swapped mine and the gas milage increased and the off idle picked up, and the temp went down!!

hiimed

That sounds like it's worth a try. I've had "issues" with temp over the years. I usualy run a K&N velocity stack and I don't have the problem that I have with the spittoon. I assumed that it is negative pressure because of the shape of the bowl.
