I like my 3.73 with my 700R4, others like the 3.08 just my .02

12 bolt with 3.73 gears

my 12 bolt with 4.56's... 29" tall tires, and a 3 on the tree sucks.. so don't do that

I have strong 350 with a 700R4 225/60/16 and a 4.11 rean-end and it is really quick, i top out around 110. I would really like to have the 3.08's in mine

no overdrive=2.75-3.00 with overdrive 3.50-4.11

If you have an overdrive and do alot of highway, then 3.73-4.11
No overdrive and alot of highway I wouldn't go more than 3.43
I run 3.73, but I don't do much over 60 since most mileage is around town, 70 on the highway = second mortage

I agree with the overdrive and 3.73-4.10 without 3.08-3.42.

BUT also it depends on what size tire you have,what kind of driving you do,what the truck is used for DD,S\S etc...
I have a 3.73 and 26" tall tire and it does good in town but on the highway it gets wound pretty tight @60mph 3350 rpm's
