I want to put a new wiring harness on my 70 and I found this one on ebay, just wondering what you guys think, is it something I can use? I'm putting in a new HEI does that make any difference? I also want to upgrade my alternator, what do you guys recomend? Is autozone a good place to buy it? any info greatly appreciated.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EZ2Wire-Universal-GM-Chevy-Ford-Wiring-Harness-No-Res_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ50459QQihZ009QQitemZ190078485512QQrdZ1

well wire is wire and as far as dc wiring goes its one hot lead and one ground to make something work most harnesses now have individual markings on each wire wich helps alot(old people like me should have a magnifying glass handy)most of the stuff is pretty straight foward// if you have any doubts download the instructions and print them out read and study them well before buying// biggest trick is running the wires to get a neat orderly well secured almost invisable finished package with tight terminal ends that will stay together(i prefer soldered terminals) and not come apart with vibration abuse or bad weather

I am using the EZ2Wire 26 circuit harness.
Well made ... all wires marked ... fairly inexpensive as long as you don't mind a little crimping to put on the terminals. Best of all, I have extra circuits for any add-ons I might decide to use later. (power windows, power door locks, power seat, etc, etc, etc)

I went and spent the money on a full painless harness. Glad I spent the money, only thing I changed was the main fuse because it was a special painless wiring one so you had to buy it from them or summitracing or jegs so I swapped it out for a regular one, but besides that, its awesome and I've never had an issue at all w/ it.

Thankyou all for the responds, Shane what kind of alternator are you using? I want to run a cs144, will I have to buy a si to cs alternator conversion harness?
