What is the most you guys would spend on your trucks? I've got about $30K and I'm half done with it! I'm new to the site, ref'd by Porterbuilt's website. I plan on re-doing the frontend to his set-up after I save some $.

Thanks-I have a Edelbrock 435hp polished crate motor and a built 700R4 transmission going in as soon as the bed is done. I've had it torn apart for 2 years now, I just want to drive it! Some more pics.

My "rule of thumb" is..... I will not spend more money than know I can sell it for.

I've already done that and it's still in pieces. That's why it will stay with me until I kick the bucket. I have $28,000.00 in it now and I need to sink atleast another 10 to 15 grand to finish it. To me it's fun and it's worth the cash.

I'm new here too. That's a sweet ride. Ur doin' it right. I see some things in your pictures that I'd like to do to my 67. Sorry, no pics yet (I don't have a good digital camera, but soon hopefully). What have you done to get your stance? I have 2.5 drop spindles with 3" lowering spring up front. 5" lowering springs out back with 2" blocks and a small c-notch. I need a little bit more front and back, should I go air bags, dropped cross member (not sure how that helps), or what other options? Also, love your inner fenders and hood hinges, totally sick, where'd you get them?

Is the 55 yours too?

I have bags all the way around! ART control arms w/drop spindles up front and a custom setup rear. Frame is 2" off ground front and back w/20" front and 22" in the rear.
I plan on changing the front to the Porterbuilt setup (better steering and more clearance).

Yes, the 55 Chevy is mine! The funny thing is that I bought the truck to get my mind off tearing apart the 55 and spending to much money on it. Well I ended up blowing apart the truck instead, so much for good intentions!

How do I find out what motor I have? It's a 67 Short bed CST w/powerglide, big back window, bucket seats, manual steering, 12 bolt posi and drum brakes. What do shops charge to replace rockers and cab corners?
