Well my move from Saskatchewan to Vancouver is coming up fast and I've just begun looking into companies to haul my truck out. Got a couple quotes which so far have ranged from $1400-3000, I know I've heard of some much better prices out there in the past but no company names to go by.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

It cost me $1500 USD to ship my blazer from New Orleans Lousianna to Calgary last year so the prices you are looking at sound high.

They are definately high, I had a buddy in Regina who had a panel truck shipped from New Brunswick to Regina for $800 but I haven't talked to him in a couple years. I know there has to be some good ones out there.

Think rail/train...

http://www.searail.ca/

They provide online quotes.

I recieved quotes from them in the past. Car Halifax to Edmonton for $1200 and a truck from somewhere in BC to Calgary was less than $500.

They ship out of Saskatoon.

Just got a quote from searail.ca, not bad and I'll save a couple hundred bucks over the other places. Would be much less if the truck was in decent enough running shape to drive to the railyard, the cost of them picking it up way out here and then delivering it to my new place in Vancouver adds about $3-400 onto the cost.

Just found a phone number to a transport guy from Kelowna that I talked to last summer when he was hauling some old cars through my area.
If you still need it, the name I have is Mario (not sure if that was the company or his name) and the phone number on the truck was 765 7009 (probably 250 area code).
