He built two of them for me. One for my non A/c truck and one for my AC truck. They are both really nice. 1lowdiesel 02-23-2007, 01:11 PM or you could do something really trick. i'm doin it on my 2 trucks. take the face off the radio and solder a piece a wire to each of the prongs on both the face and headunit . then you will be able to put the face anywhere and mount just the cd player in the glove box or console or where ever. i'm doin mine in the rearview mirror. kelsfine69 02-24-2007, 11:51 AM Hey Thats me:lol: Thanks Larry Looking for some thing like this... The red one is a A/C truck truknut 02-25-2007, 08:21 PM Kelsfine69 do you make those? How much are they for an air truck? Sammy 02-25-2007, 08:33 PM That is the sharpest insert I have seen. If your interested in making these I would be interested in one for air truck & one of the other. 72cheyennesuper20 02-25-2007, 08:34 PM Not to be a thread jacker, But Kelsfine69 are you making those? How much for one for a a/c truck? Lemield 02-27-2007, 10:45 AM Here are pics of my installs.... Green one is non/AC...I added a glovebox light....:) Kel already posted my AC truck's install...(the red one). The little eyeball is an extender that allows me to operate the radio with the glovebox door closed. I built a simple anti-power-spike harness to prevent frying the extender. Works awesome.:metal: Lemield 02-27-2007, 10:49 AM A pic of the glovebox light...:) Bamm 02-27-2007, 04:57 PM Very smooth guys..... kelsfine69 02-27-2007, 09:53 PM Well I checked my messy work bench:lol: and i have 2 A/C boxes left and 7 regular glove boxes. If i get enough responses for these I will pay my vendor dues. They would be $50US plus $25 US shipped anywhere in the USA. The price of aluminum has gone way up but since I made these last year, they are last years prices. 68 P.O.S. 02-27-2007, 10:04 PM Count me in...I am seriously interested!!!
