Glad you found it! Let's get it going, you may want to put a post in General about this one to draw attention to it. There are several guys in Tucson, Phoenix, and surrounding areas with these trucks. It's snowing here, so I am looking for another excuse to get out of here for a day or two!!

I'd try and make it if it were late spring or early summer. My motor is out of the truck right now.

Yeah we might have to wait that long to get a good group of people out there. Right now it looks like we have 3, maybe 4. Maybe we could set up something big from a few different states... and do that in the spring or summer.

Spring would probably be the best time for everyone. Say around the end of April or beginning of may maybe?

If that's the case, how about a BBQ? It will get kinda hot during the day, but if we can reserve an armada at maybe Kiwanis park or Cactus park, it wouldn't be too bad.

What does everyone think of this idea?

Guys, I know I said april 28th, but with some things that have been going on right now in my life, I'm just not going to be able to make it. I'm having problems at work, and on top of it, that's the weekend I have to move into my new place.

I really wanna get this going though, and I'd like to meet everyone on here, so I'm going to keep an eye out on this and we can really get a big one together on a weekend that everyone can make it!

Can it be sometime in May or June? I know it'll be hot down in the Valley, but we could meet up in Flagstaff? I live about 5-6 hours from Phoenix, so Flags closer, but I'll come that way too if you all want tomeet up?

June would be fine! Hey 70, what do you think about Payson? I mean we could do flag, but the last two times I took my truck on a long trip, it came back with problems to no end! Plus, I should have my new rear end in there, and I don't know how well it would do on a trip like that. The farthest I've taken it is from Mesa to Payson.

What if all the phoenix guys met up beforehand and drove to payson as a group. This way, if anyone breaks down, we got enough people there to have it covered. I mean I have a set of tools that I keep in my truck, so I'm sure we could do it as a group.

I have put about 500 miles on my truck so far andeverything seems fine but I def would not feel real comfortable making a drive like that. Not to mention the gas would be killer. I'm averaging about 10 MPG right now around town. The TH350 with 373 just doesn't seem to like hwy speeds.

I understand if it is decided to do somewere up north but unfortunatley for me I probably wouldn't be able to attend.

I would rather it was in the valley as well, but if it was up north, you wanna ride with someone? I wouldnt mind having a passenger along with me for this one

I kinda need to know in advance to be able to plan my work schedule around it. I'll be very busy in the next few months but would really like to make it if possible. I may be able to offer a ride if needed, but it won't be in a '67-'72 if that matters. :lol:

I think it would be great to put this together and have a huge turn out. but... in the mean time we should plan a get together on the east side somewere. Just a parking lot to hang out and shoot the _____. I'm not sure where the local cruise night is so to speak but think it would be cool.

Payson is cool with me, I can drop down through Winslow and into Pyson. It'll only be a 3 hr drive for me. Unless all the stars line up, I'll be driving my Dodge. I sold my only running driving 2wd truck to member: jorgensensc a couple months ago. I have a 4X4 67 short fleet I am trying to get together, but the wife and kids won't fit. You guys down there let me know. I may be delivering the 67 short step I had advertised in the parts board to Phoenix this week coming up. A board member is coming to Phoenix and I said I'd deliver it.

Lets do it, I'd like to meet up with the rest of you guys if we can!?

Didn't take place yet......However I sold my engine because I am not set up to do the mods for the LS1 swap!!!!!!!!!!:whine: Just bought a stock motor today so I am going to put that in.

The Mesa Pavillions are a good spot, every Saturday at 19:00 there's a park and show (Power and Hampton -I think- it's on the east side of Power in the Target/K-Mart parking lot, I'll check the map and give exact location), you could always cruise around the mall or park and shoot the bull. It's mostly alot of cruiser's with nice rides and not any of the punk kids with "Thumps" or "Tuners", been acouple of times and there's a good bunch of rodder's there.

It's an easy place to get to, if you live in the East Valley it's less than an half an hour away, my saturday is open and I'm gonna make an effort to be there this saturday (8/18/07) so if anyone wants to stop in, I'll be in the black/red 2wd blazer.

I would love to meet but my truck isn't back together yet. Here is where it is at right now. Just need to hook up the drive shaft and exhaust manifolds and the front clip and fenders. As soon as It is done (hopefully next week) I will go. Where exactly in Mesa is it. I am off power between Germann and Pecos....

I showed up in my 80 and stayed for maybe 20 minutes. Ive been sick teh last two days so it was a challenge for me to stay out as long as I did lol.

i should be able to make it. i was almost out the door this past sat. night but with the weather in the morning & clouds all day i did not think there would be much out (show wise). i need to check with the wife to see if there are any plans for the holiday..... i will try to let all know for sure by friday night.

get to us 60 & go east. exit power road & go north a mile or so until you see hampton rd. turn right (east) & it should be on the right side about 1/4 mile in the parking lot(s) of the target & kmart stores. i imagine the directions can be given better by xtreme80 or someone else. hope to see you there.

Naw I think it'll be fine. It usually is. Them old farts don't go out too much for labor day weekend.

I also just found out that I might be working that night. It's still up in the air, but I might be. That would suck to finally get something planned and end up having to miss it :(
