I was wondering if anybody has any experience using their cell phone to provide internet to a laptop. I have cingular service as well as a 3g phone. What would it cost per month to use it for internet?

You would need to contact them and go over their data plans. I am only familiar with doing this with my T-Mobile service. I just need the "unlimited data" service to use my phone as a mobile to get out to the internet.

I looked into that. The connection time would be VERY slow. I ended up going with a Sprint wireless broadband card for my laptop - it's costing my $50/month - but the flexibility is awesome. I'm on that computer right now :cool:

If it's 3G it shouldn't be that slow. 3G is faster than the wireless connection a lot of people are using in their house.
