View Full Version : March 2007-TOTM-It's Sooo Long!
Palf70Step 03-17-2007, 11:49 AM Alright, this month’s TOTM theme is
It's Sooo Long!
Let us check out the criteria or rules for those being nominated.
• Open to all years and models of trucks
• The truck has to be a long wheelbase model to include longhorns with a fleetside or stepside bed.
• It must be together and able to move on its own power.
• It must be licensed for street use.
• If a truck has won a TOTM already in 2006 or 2007, you are ineligible. If you were nominated but were not selected as a TOTM winner then you may be nominated and compete in this month's category.
To Nominate:
You or someone else may nominate your truck. Just add the nomination to this thread. We will need a picture of the nominee vehicle, the owner’s board name, and the basics specs of the truck (year, engine/drive train specs). You or your nominator can provide additional info if desired.
Nominees will through March 24. If additional information is needed, then I will PM the first 15 nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing them for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all of the voting. The Poll will start to run on March 25 and will run until the morning of March 31. The official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of March 31. The announcement of this month’s TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

SmittySmith 03-17-2007, 10:26 PM Ok, I'll give it a shot.

This ride has been in the same family since first purchased in May of 1982. I still have the original window stickers and options list, and the temporary tag from the dealer. It currently has 260,000+ miles and is a daily driver. Powered by the infamous 350 CI Quadrajet and geared by a Turbo 350 3-Speed Auto. She still has a lot of get up and go, the engine was rebuilt 50,000 miles ago.
It is now being driven my my son, and will live new adventures with him!!

She pretty much has all of the options available in 1982. Power steering, power-brakes, tilt, cruise, electric windows and locks, int. wipers, even the quartz clock still works and keeps great time. Full instrumentation (no tach.) pile carpet, and Sierra Classic trim and headliner.

Additions: AM/FM/CD/MP3 Pioneer in-dash unit with top line Kicker speakers in dash and kick-panels. Stainless-steel anti-theft collar. Alarm system. Radar detector.
And just added a new LineX spray-in bedliner. Made the bed look better than new!!
