I am looking at some new Kicker subwoofers for my car. Kinda spendy but nice.
Theres also a pair of AUDIOBAHN subwoofers that are a little bit cheaper. Does anybody have and bad or good input or opinions on either one of these brands? Or any other recommendations for a different brand?

No subs here, but I installed (4) Kicker KS-series 6x8 coaxials in my DD, and I love 'em. Kicker makes a quality speaker.

Never used either brand, but like above, kicker makes pretty decent stuff

I've had Kicker 10's, 12's and 15's and they have never let me down. Currently have two Kicker Comp 12's.

Again, until this truck, Kicker was all I used for speakers. The best bang for the buck I've found were CompVR 12's. Got a set of two for like 150 on ebay, brand new in a sealed box.

I ran alot more power through those than I should have, and NEVER had a problem. I could bounce a quarter 2 feet off the roof of my old maxima, and when I put that same setup in my old Nissan Frontier, it blew out the seal on the front window and started leaking when it rained.

Go with the Kickers, you will NOT regret it :)

I have been a loyal JL Audio fan for years. I've tried all the rest - Kicker and Rockford have always been "just as good", I just prefer JL myself.

I used to love Cerwin Vega, but ... only for home use now.

Infinity Perfect 12's
The clarity is astounding, well worth the $$$

thank god i can order directly from infinity, because i'd never be able to afford them at retail.

Both will pound your head open and both will make everything in your car rattle as well...

In a battle between the two, I'd choose Kicker.

I would stay away from Audiobahn, haven't heard too many great things about them.

I run 2 Kenwood 12"s in my 70 and 2 Infinity 10"s in my Cobalt, both sound great and I love the Infinitys, got them buy one get one free.

if I had to choose, I would go with Kicker over AudioBahn. Nothing against AudioBahn, I just know that Kicker has proven themselves. I have been dealing with Car audio now for over 15 years.

I have worked with almost all of the major brands from time to time. You CAN'T beat JL Audio for quality. They make excellent use of whatever power you provide them, the distortion is minimum, and they usually require less airspace than most of the competition. Their W1 series is hard to beat and is very reasonably priced. It won't be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. If you have to pick one of the two mentioned above, I would go with the Kickers.

kicker has had some good subs come out the comps are dang good but audiobahn takes alot of power to push them but there just huge if i had a choice out of the 2 i would take kicker but to me i rather run a different sub since ive only used memphis in both my daily and show truck

i have a pair of Alpine S types in the kickpanels run by an Alpine CDE-9852 head unit and my buddy has a 12" pioneer shallow mount subwoofer in his 79 chevy and i think it should fit under a bench seat with the right box. That subwoofer pounds really good, even with just the one and a fairly cheap MTX amp you can hear it from blocks away, and those pioneers arent all that expensive i'd suggest you check it out they also come in 10's. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kmfKOkOdyio/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=520&I=130TSS3041
