View Full Version : Kustom Werx latest
N2TRUX 03-26-2007, 07:50 PM Some of you may be familiar with the killer projects that have been rolling out of the Houston area shop called Kustom Werx. Here are some pics of the owners latest ride. It's a "slightly" modified 71 designed and built by Cory Scott. The graphics were airbrushed by Pat Maxwell of Maxwell designs.
Enjoy-

68caliRat 03-27-2007, 01:00 AM Good looking truck. But I'm curious as to why the badges and lights were airbrushed on instead of real ones?

Joe67 03-27-2007, 01:04 PM Awesome :D
I discussed airbrushing the trim and emblems with a buddy a few years back - I really like that
98L150 03-27-2007, 01:25 PM The truck is very nice. The trucks interior is in process and the will be completed and unvailed complete at the GatorDrag show in louisiana in a few weeks. The wheels are 22's all the way around. This is the orange truck that was debued at TX heatwave last year. He tore it down back in August to do the rebuild.
powell72 03-27-2007, 11:55 PM This is the orange truck that was debued at TX heatwave last year. He tore it down back in August to do the rebuild.
The one that was in Streettrucks a couple of months ago? That's a serious make over.
67/72junkie 03-28-2007, 12:46 AM Awesome truck and the airbrushed trim is just to kool
timcos 03-28-2007, 12:57 AM I would love to have my trim and emblems airbrushed on...wonder what that would cost...man that would be so cool.
Tim
muddpile 03-28-2007, 01:07 AM I guess that solves the problem of rust forming behind the emblems and trim doesn't it  That is probably my favorite truck so far to roll out of Texas. You guys really know how to build custom trucks down there!
1LoC10 03-28-2007, 01:20 AM That is awesome, did they airbrush the tailgate too?
TRUCKER-TRUCKIN' 03-28-2007, 04:21 AM Whew, thats a load off my mind, now i know where to get all my work done when i win the lLotto! SWEET!
Rokcrln 03-28-2007, 06:59 AM Yes that truck is drop dead!

GREASEMONKEY72 03-28-2007, 09:46 PM any info on the colors?
72CSTC5 03-28-2007, 11:20 PM I would bet Maxwell charged between 2500.00 to 3500.00 to airbrush the trim work on that truck.
04 orange 03-28-2007, 11:37 PM Wow that was the orange truck at heatwave! That's crazy! I liked it orange, but all the airbrush work and the blue and gray are awsome. Here's some pics of it at heatwave in Austin when it was still orange.

72 Cheyenne402 03-29-2007, 12:00 AM That truck is it Man!! I saw a truck a few years back at traders village truck show in Huston with the trim painted on like that really cool stuff. If I can find the pics I will post them. Really cool truck and color. Love the old Cheyenne two-tone
xmitsu10 03-29-2007, 07:51 AM Like the others, I love the airbrushed trim (especially the emblems and side marker lights). You could have even shaved the door handles and tailgate handle and then airbrushed them back on. Very cool truck indeed!!! So original!!
1LoC10 04-16-2007, 10:43 AM looks better with a hood now

98L150 04-18-2007, 08:25 PM motor pic as requested
randomhero472 04-18-2007, 10:48 PM hypothetically... what would a truck like/similar to this be worth, maybe w/o the airbrushing work, but w/top notch paint, interior.. and a truck that is bagged w/a larger set of wheels. Im talking a real-world buyer
bskylerj 04-18-2007, 10:53 PM as I have said before. I love this truck. This has to be one of the siiickest trucks I have seen. I would love to see this in person.
Think they would trade??????????
randomhero472 04-18-2007, 11:03 PM oh yea.. by far top 5 67-72's on this planet!
bmbmartin01 07-13-2007, 09:54 AM The Kusom Werx Chevy is by far one of the nicest I have come across. Does anybody know what upcoming car shows this truck may be in? What would a project like this bad boy cost to build? I will own a truck like this someday and I need to start saving my pennies and nickels.
bagged74 07-13-2007, 10:44 AM looks sick.
