Does anybody here think that this grill can be whipped back into shape?? Or am I just being crazy cheap??? Its just that a reproduction one is so freaking expensive. I dont have much metal-working experience, but I thought I could give it a shot.

One nice thing about doing bodywork is. Most of the time its allready messed up. It might not look 100% when done but it can not hurt to try. Just work real slow lite taps with dolly (with rag wraped around it) on the outside.

brass hammer and a nice semi soft piece of wood (block of wood). I have done this with a grille but did not take any pics..... I used a metal file also to work down some high spots and then polished the grille, it was on a 62 impala moldings but same as a grille. right?

Yep...it can be worked out. But it takes time and finesse to get it right. Use soft material when doing the work or you will take it the other way.
