Well I don't really have a plan yet. I don't have any money to buy anything at this swap meet but I try to make them when I can. If I see there a group of guys going and we can meet up I will make the trip just for that reason.

BTW I have a family vacation to the Outter Banks in 12 days and don't want to steal money away from that is why the money is tight right now.

As it stands with only two replies looks like friday what time guys.

Here is a map that I made, anyone can link to it. Yellow car is the Armory, blue cops are gates. 6t727t2 (Harry) is meeting up in that lot with some parts for sale. I plan on being in that lot @ 9am and coming back before noon to meet Harry. My cell is 717-304-7090 if anyone wants to meet up.

:whine: :( :dohh: :banghead: :m6: :cuss: So what who did I miss today guys?

Figures the guy that started the thread could not make it today. Something always comes up.

I'm still gonna try and make it down tommarow but that does not look good either.

My girl freind got called into work and had no one to get the kids this afternoon when they got off from school. I will see what I can do about tommarow.

Man you guys have a nice day outside there today though.

Jason, you missed it! first ever Carlisle Topless Day (must be 18-25 and female!) j/k

Met up with Tim (Special K) and had a good time even though I had to leave early due to the wife's last minute Dr. appt. Thank god Tim came to help me carry my parts... I picked up new floor pans, rockers, and cab supports from Jerry Brown (Truck Shop, TN). What a nice fella to do business with. He sells good quality stuff and will cut you a deal which brings him in the truckandcarshop price range (but he has better items and southern hospitality to boot!). I also found another 69 Camaro AM/FM Radio for $10. Don't know if you remember but at Thanksgiving I found one in the JY for $5, sold on Ebay for $389!

Have fun tomorrow and you better get their early (7-8AM) and wear sunscreen. Take care and maybe we can all do the Truck show in August!

No way,it wasn`t me.Must be some other Tim:lol:.About all I did after Mike left was go sit at an old buddies spot in the shade (he`s had skin cancer),drank beer, and scared off all his customers,J/K.When I left around 7:00 I noticed alot of lobsters walking around.Glad I thought to use the Banana Boat today. It`s the first warm sun I`ve seen in a coon`s age.
Mike and I checked out some nice shortbed 67/72s.We picked this guys $26,000 red`68 CST apart. It was nice, alright. But,the guy was trippin`.One car away was a $13,000 emerald green/white`72 Cheyenne that was ever bit as nice. These were in the pavilion.Up on top of the hill in the car coral was a sweet red short/fleet`72 K/10 for $20,000.$1,800 could get you a`69 Stepside with the Fred & Barney floor option. We got to hear a free concert put on by a 572 on a stationary stand. The rhythm was right-on and a sweet melody.

Tim, are you calling other guy's girlfriends? As long as my old lady doean't get a call!

I got a nice tan from 10-2 while I was there, I bet some people were fried! We all need to link up for the truck show, maybe even a cookout at my place to end the summer. Hopefully I can have a rolling chassis and no money by then!

A couple pieces of plywood, and vualah!,instant rolling picnic table.I`m going to get a space (or 2) for "Trucks".If anyone`s staying over we could have us a party/cookout @ the spot.
We`ll have to start a thread on a get together then.

I went to look for a truck but WOW...where were the $2,000.00 builders? The worst trucks were 5 grand minimum....one guy's looked painted with a brush, bad panel fit etc. for 7,000.00. The days of the "Deal" seem gone from Carlisle (or I didn't look hard enough).

Got lots of pics of 18 to 38 thousand dollar trucks.

I hear ya... The red 69 in my pics was 3 grand and the bed floor wouldn't have held a truckload of softballs due to the holes in it! Stick some pics here if you want...

yea i agree they were really asking alot for the some of those trucks. did you see the orange and white one w/ the sunroof. they zip screwed panels over where the blower holes were and by the booster then painted over them. and he was asking 14k i think.

I don't know where some of those prices come from....if it's not original but it's also not highly customized how does it become a 25 thousand dollar truck?

Barrett Jackson is how their owners think they have a 25,000 dollar truck.

I seem to have heard thet even Barrett has had some down times compared to their recent fame. Anyone know if thats true?

I`ve watched the prices climb for years. It`s always been this way at Carlisle.Like Hemming Motor News, they`ve been the place for the cream of the crop(hopefully)and asking prices reflect it.It`s a mass-market deal. The buyers are there and the prices are bold.B-J auctions are just better known because of TV.I saw $20+thousand dollar trucks at Carlisle 10 or more years ago.

There was some guys selling stripped chevy cabs asking $1200 to $1700.00 They were decent but not for that kind of money. We did see two decent priced trucks for under $2000.00. I really wasn't too impressed with the meet. Cheap hotdogs though at $1.50

some pics
The red 69 was under $2000.00 on Friday but was LWB. There was a sWb green one for under 2000.00 Friday also but it was in a trailer and was kind of hard to notice. They did pull it half way out later though.
