Hi Guys,
I have a 59 Chevy pickup with a 62 261 and the original 59 3 speed. I have the stock 3.90 rear end. My 3 speed is wore out (keeps jumping out of 3rd) and I have decided to replace it with a t-5 5 speed. Can anyone tell me what the gear ratios were in the stock 3 speed so I know what 5 speed to get?

For those of you that have done the 5 speed swap, what gear ratios are you running? what's your rear end ratio?

Do the T-5 gear boxes have different gear ratios?

How about now? If not scroll down on the home page that showed up in the a bove post about three topics and click on transmissions and rearends. This link should be there. Try them both .Good luck Larry
