I was wondering if anyone has proposed doing a Western meet and an Eastern meet, instead of just one. I know that it would be really cool get everybody together at one place, but shucks, the gas from California would be hundreds of dollars for this year's meet. Has anyone done a statistical survey as to where everyone is from? Maybe I'm delusional, but there are areas you might be able to do a "state" meet, or regional meet (i.e., southwestern, southeastern, etc) because there are so many members. Just a thought, that's probably been thought of before.:D

We have talked about this and the last one was sorta in the Middle (more eastern though)--Indianapolis.This time its in the Central area--Missouri.
Last I heard I *thought* the next one was going to be out west.
depending on who all decides to run it. There is pretty much no way for us ( east coast people) to set up a meet on the west coast, without major issues. The meet for next year ( if there was one) should be in the begining planning stages now, for it to happen. If anyone wants to step up and plan it, let us know.
Also one other thing to keep in mind. Most people from the lower cost of life areas will not be able to make a west coast meet. It would be very hard for someone living on $10 an hour to pay for hotels and food etc at west coast prices.
Im not against the idea in the least.. just throwin some things out to think about

Well, for what it's worth, I could be involved, but I've never done anything like that. I wouldn't know where to start. But if there is a way to gauge the interest, and it's there, then count me in. I think it would be a fun experience. BTW, I understand on the money thing. I think 10 years ago it was a lot more feasable, but now with gas prices the way they are, we might as well be on different planets. It is too bad. Time and money are what everyone seems to be short on these days. But hey, at least we have modern technology, and we can send pictures - lots and lots of pictures. So if you figure a way to see who would be interested, and if we get enough response, I will definitely be there to help.

Us TN folks are usually in for anything. We drive all over for meets and greets,
have lots of cookouts, (4 just this year) Go from state to state to state with
the pursuit of shows, friends, food, and fun at a whim. It takes me at least 6
-9 months just to plan my cookout and last year I had close to 30. You have
to have it well thought out, an area big enough to do it, and most important
is being prepared for when it's 7 days to go and peeps start bailing on you ;)
