well my name is Steve I'm Ragenrat638 son and he invited me to go with him to go to the board meet... i was just wondering how the car situation down there is.....are the cars typically rust free or is it common to have to repair some rust on them?
if somebody could help me out that would be great
thanks,

steve, first, welcome to the boards.
I have lived in Ohio most of my life... we get the snow and rain, the salt, andthe latest evil, that brine they spraythe roads with before the snow. (By far, that is THE worst thing for your car)
While MO is still a rusty state... you'll be flat out AMAZED at the *clean* cars and trucks you'll see there.
However, if you are asking, in hopes of buying while you are there... (depending on your budget) I still say get a western or southwestern vehicle and spend the money/time to go get it. Even if it doesn't run, you'll be WAY ahead $ wise in the end. Paint and body is by far the single most expensive thing you'll ever do to a project.

Springfield MO always had tons fo neat cars on lots it seem when I went through there. Never really stopped to look much. Lebenon is another used car trap and its on I44 North of Norwood. Some of the cars in Southern MO come out od Arkansas and have less rust. I think they use sand on their icey roads.

yea i just wasn't sure i really appreciate the info guys... i have a 65 camino and i tore it all apart thin kin it wasn't gonna be that much work but little by little found more stuff to fix and now im just realizing that there is no way I'm ever gonna be able to afford to fix it up the rest of the way so my plan was to try and find something that was more together and possibly newer...I've always liked the 88 to 94 blazers heck I've owned 2 and i have a 95 right now.... so i was thinking something along those line my dad built me a 400 C.i. sbc for the camino but i think if i found a blazer there i would dump that in there....but i guess it depends on what i find
but thanks again guys

First off :welcome2: to the board, as you have heard I'm sure from pop this is the best place on the net :metal:

Second that reason for edit has got to be the best one yet.

To answer your question I don't know but, I live a little farther over in the rust belt from you so I would guess that you will find better around the meet than what our areas have to offer. :)

As for your 400 at least you will have an awesome power plant that looks good while performing it's duty if it comes from the rage!!!
