Just got back, really nice cruise-in. Had 150 cars there tonight. Thought some of you Middle Tennessee guys might be interested in coming up/down for it. Wouldn't mind meeting a few more members.

Thought some of you Middle Tennessee guys might be interested in coming up/down for it. Wouldn't mind meeting a few more members. Bryan ed455 06-21-2007, 08:03 AM I'm usually there. Have been on vacation for the last couple of weeks. Look for a 1965 Rambler Classic 660 (putty colored) and that's me. Ed 5150 06-21-2007, 10:11 AM Will do, I'll be there tomorrow in my silver 70 stepside. JerseyGirl 06-21-2007, 11:24 PM Where is it at? Day? Times? Wouldn't mind taking a cruise out there... 5150 06-21-2007, 11:36 PM It's on Friday nights. I think it starts around 5 till ????? It's at the Home Depot, across from the new Wal-Mart. If you are coming from Nashville-Take the Vietnam Vet Parkway and get off at exit 7. Go right and the it's on your left. Hope to see you there ed455 06-22-2007, 09:30 AM Officially it's from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. They give away door prizes, there's live music, etc. Pretty good crowd most nights. It seems to get bigger every week. I was there when it was about ten cars. Last time I was there, there was about 100 cars. There are usually a few chevy trucks there. I have the distinction of having the only Rambler (or AMC for that matter) at the cruise-in. If you come, be sure to eat at one of the restaurants in the area. It's becoming so big, I can see where it could rapidly evolve into a nuisance for the local businesses. So please spend some money at teh restaurants, hey, you gotta eat, right? Steak and Shake is one of the sponsors and they give the club quite a few free meals to give as door prizes. There's a Shane' Rib Shack (pretty good), a Chili's, O'Charlies, Taco Smell, and a Backyard Burger. There are many more restaurants being buit at this location and a movie theater/shopping area is under construction right down the street. It will soon make a nice night out for car guys, especially if the women can go shopping while their car-nut husbands are at the cruise-in. JerseyGirl 06-22-2007, 08:39 PM Oh I thought it was on the weekend!! Fri nights are damn tough for me!!! I used to go to a car show up that way a while back, when we had our 57 Chevy...took it a few times...it was pretty fun!! Do it every Fri Nite?? I may have to set up a day & make myself FREE to come & hang out! :c2: 5150 06-22-2007, 11:32 PM Yep, every Friday night. Just got back, good to finally meet you Ed. Looking forward to seeing you again there. ed455 06-22-2007, 11:43 PM Yeah, the Rambler lost spark about 4 blocks from the cruise in. Think the ignition box died. Lotsa good cars (and trucks) tonight. |
