View Full Version : Any of y'all coming have an old Edelbrock? krue 06-28-2007, 08:02 PM I need the linkages off a junked edelbrock carb, figured I'd beg someone to bring me one. kyull67 06-28-2007, 10:53 PM You should have posted this two weeks ago. I would have gotten you the ones off my burnt truck before they towed it. Spray-Bomb 06-30-2007, 09:16 PM Towed it ??? Like crushed ? jamie72 06-30-2007, 09:18 PM would it be the same off a carter??? HuggerCST 06-30-2007, 11:29 PM Towed it ??? Like crushed ? Apparently not yet, I just found it at an online (dealers only) insurance auction in Springfield scheduled for July 25th. The engine doesn't look like it was burned much. jamie72 07-01-2007, 10:04 AM that is a sad pic.... Ron 586 07-01-2007, 10:23 AM I believe that is worse than seeing one bent up in a wreck. Longhorn Man 07-01-2007, 11:41 AM what did the insurance company do for you anyways? Wasn't it a garage fire that did it? (tryin to remember here) I assume it wasn't worth buying back? hotrodmtodd 07-01-2007, 09:57 PM I can bring a Carter too if Jamie forgets. Let me know, Mike krue 07-01-2007, 11:38 PM My expert consultant (Gman69) says a carter is the same. Longhorn Man 07-02-2007, 12:47 AM I've combined carter and edelbrocks in the past. There are things that won't match up, but for the best part, they are the same thing. hotrodmtodd 07-03-2007, 11:16 AM Same starting point. I will bring it either way. It is VERY similar to the Edelbrocks it is sitting beside on the shelf. BACKYARD88 07-03-2007, 11:32 AM I have an old Edelbrock that came off my truck. I'll bring it too and you can take your pick, or take em all:sexy: Spray-Bomb 07-03-2007, 11:32 AM Apparently not yet, I just found it at an online (dealers only) insurance auction in Springfield scheduled for July 25th. Looks like they picked it up by the cab, cuz I didn't remember it being curled up like that :( :whine: Man I wish I was closer & had my dealers license :metal: I'd roll that all rust & warpy  :metal: kyull67 07-03-2007, 04:04 PM Apparently not yet, I just found it at an online (dealers only) insurance auction in Springfield scheduled for July 25th. Wow, that's crazy seeing the picture. The roof was actually sunk down about 8". I would highly recommend that no one buy that unless they want just the frame. It's hard to tell from the pictures but every body panel is very warped. I took the only good parts; tailgate, rollpan, and exhaust tips. I'm pretty sure the doors don't even open. Insurance was good to me. They wanted to give me $9,000 but we settled on a much better number after I told them to hire an appraiser(It's part of the policy). Thanks State Farm!:) What web site is that on? Sorry for the thread jack.:o |
