View Full Version : Weekend mileage
oldgold70c10 07-09-2007, 04:57 PM Thought this would be fun... ... how many miles did you rack up on your truck/other vehicle in getting to the meet.
I had 671 miles more on the clock when I got home, the most I've put on the truck yet on any one trip, I bet a lot of you have many more....
LUV2XCLR8 07-09-2007, 05:00 PM Well it was around 300 for me each way, so around 650? total counting
trips to the Hotel. On a side note my gas bill was only $116 which I bet
is very small to most of you. Curious to see what some drove and spent.

Yeah, like hotrodmtodd driving 18 hours? in his 72 blazer. That couldn't have been cheap. Glad he made it though.
augie 07-09-2007, 05:29 PM Hmm, I got 3,798 frequent flier miles and put about 550 miles on the rental car. And I only had to put $78 in the tank. :)
Longhorn Man 07-09-2007, 05:47 PM I was a back seat driver, but I rode about 1200 miles.
Put 150 or so on jeff's jimmy on the way home. Ended up havin to push start it a few times again too.
cory321 07-09-2007, 05:54 PM About 1200 both ways and 150 in gas
LONGHAIR 07-09-2007, 06:00 PM It was almost exactly 1300 miles....but @ over 30 MPG, I filled up 3 times to the tune of $110.
Alvin 07-09-2007, 07:03 PM The morning I left for the meet I had 34,000 on the clock exactly (how cool is that?), and when I got home I had 35,263 miles on it.
bobbo 07-09-2007, 07:12 PM Okay, so I only had about 100 miles round trip and about $70 in gas. But we only traveled from Springfield, MO. :) And the truck doesn't run the best so it sucks some gas and oil... :(
woodridge 07-09-2007, 09:45 PM Almost 1500 miles round trip (includes the trip to Springfield) and $190 in gas. Don't know what that little yellow piece of paper is going to cost yet.:o
Longhorn Man 07-09-2007, 10:02 PM what did you get busted for?
About 720 miles give or take. I've never driven the truck over 4 hours before and it was about 6.5 hours to Boss's. Truck did well, I'm glad I brought it.
centsless 07-09-2007, 10:40 PM We put right at 2,250 miles on the motorhome, and spent about $1,100 in gas. It was the first time out for the rig, and only had one incident. We were about 200 miles from home on the PA turnpike, and the right mirror fell off. It hung on by the wires, and luckily I had some screws to re attach it.
bellafleck 07-09-2007, 10:44 PM well the big ford loaded down with the trailer went 1200 miles and cost around 400 deisel
Ron 586 07-09-2007, 11:00 PM About 720 miles give or take. I've never driven the truck over 4 hours before and it was about 6.5 hours to Boss's. Truck did well, I'm glad I brought it.
I'm sorry for having to miss the meet and put you in the position of having to drive your truck at the last minute. But I'm glad you took it and the exposure it got. Can't wait to see your roadster done.
woodridge 07-09-2007, 11:01 PM what did you get busted for?
76 in a 65. Out of a group of 7 or 8, I was the only out of towner. Guess he knew I probably wouldnt fight it. Oh well, it was still a great trip getting to meet new people and see some great rides.
RACINJASON22 07-09-2007, 11:19 PM 2025.7 miles for us with Andy in the back for the biggest part of that what a blast. Wish I could have done it in something other than a Van but, I don't think I would have liked the gas bill:( looks like about $260 but I'm not sure that seems alittle high I will check into that as I'm not sure how much is in there know.
Mudder 07-10-2007, 03:08 AM Just sorta guessing. About 280 miles and about $160 in gas........:)
Phuloi68 07-10-2007, 06:46 AM About 1250. That counts back and forth several times to Mountain Grove and getting lost several times in the middle of the night.:o
Right at 1300. With the same circumstances as Phuloi68.:)
LUV2XCLR8 07-10-2007, 02:34 PM 76 in a 65. Out of a group of 7 or 8, I was the only out of towner.
That sucks :(
hotrodmtodd 07-10-2007, 11:25 PM 1453 miles, $495.01 in gas.(one $7 gas cap) Never left Boss' place. Better man for the whole experience.
PS David, send me your paypal address, will be more than happy to contribute to your bad luck fund. Glad to help a fellow Air Force (and truck board) brother. Would do it for ANY of you.
Approx 1,100 miles with gas cost of approx $250. and the motel another $150. Dividing it 3 ways sure helped.
What was amazing were all the 67-72 trucks we saw in Mo. Ever notice that when someone says "there ain't nothin round her no more"---if you go there, they are all over the place!!! HUmmmm, sure smelled like private stock to me!hehehehehe
We got home tonight, it was around 1950 miles, round trip averaged 20mpg int eh crew cab which cost us around $300 in gas. Not bad I don't think for hauling 3 adults n 3 kids there n back.
68gmcdually 07-13-2007, 11:37 PM 1,700 kms there.... 2,500 kms back
Lost track of the whole food, lodging, entertainment and gas totals, but I am sure that I will get a "reminder" when I get my american express statement next month.
Glad all of you drove that much.i think mine was 0000.0 and the gas cost was $00.00..........hahahaha sorry i had to :)
LUV2XCLR8 07-14-2007, 09:10 AM hahahaha sorry i had to :)
