Ok gang I've looked thru the posts on the Nat BB meet and I saw folks working on BOSS's truck.I saw Pickles supervising and keeping ya'll in line.I saw sumbody under the welding hood, pics of where the floorpan and rockers were replaced,a tranny shot and some sanding. But no one has mentioned how far they got on his truck.Whatever was done probably qualifies as the biggest parking lot mod ever performed by BB members at any meet so post up what ya'll did and who all helped so's we can give them a big ol' THANK YOU and OOOOOOOUURAHHHHH from the members even if they couldn't be there. Oh and to document what was done so someone can go for that distinction at another meet.

When I left sunday morning, the tranny was in,(except for TC bolts and starter), the right side floor, rocker, and cab corner was done, the left side floor and rocker were almost done, the bedside had been changed, and Steve was in the process of straightening it. Lots of sanding had been done, and all of the molding had been removed. Mark, Dee, Steve, and Pickles were still working, and were planning to work all day, so we'll have to get them or Boss to tell us how far they got. I'm the one under the welding helmet in the white shirt.:)

Those who I know spent most if not all of their weekend on it, and
you know I will miss a few of them so I'm sorry in advance, are ....

Andy - Longhornman
Margaret - Pickles
Mark - Ragin'rat638
Steven - Ragn's Son
Dee - Mark's Wife
Wynne - HuggerCST
Mike - Hotrodmtodd

And I am sure there are many, many, many others who contributed.

Longhair helped with the bedside, and someone worked on the tailgate, but I can't think of his name.

In all honesty, next to Steven everyone was just state workers standing
around in awe, that kid knows his chit, he worked VERY hard all weekend.
(Not that anyone else didn't, he was like the Energizer Bunny from Hell ;) )

I only spent one day under it, not the whole weekend. I was involved in the tranny deal... nothing on the body.
Pickles and her crew were doing some awsome stuff in there in the paint and body department

Those guys were troopers. I didn't see what they started with, but I saw a lot of cab rust go byebye and Steve was doing some amazing work on the bed.By the time I got there they were past the mechanical, and that's all I'm slightly any good for.:(

When we left, the body was in primer. It has a few spots that need a little more attention, but an INCREDIBLE amount of work was done!! Me and Cents want to thank everyone who helped out!!

I was assigned the drivers side floor, rocker, and inner rocker. I did all the FUN parts (cutting, grinding, fitting) Pickles did the grunt work to finish up Sunday morning. Wynne did the WHOLE right side, and I must say, it looked pretty darn good! Steven truly was a MACHINE. He has a real gift. (not to mention a GREAT right hand man and left hand woman in Mark and Dee!) I wish I could have stayed to finish up. About 11 o'clock SAT night, I found myself all alone in the garage (except for Pickles of course) She suggested that we call it a night. I realized just how much I missed doing body work.(used to do it for GM 25 years ago) I probably would STILL be in there if she wouldn't have stopped me. Kind of inspired me to come home and finish a few of my OWN projects. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.

I was shocked by how much got done on it and sometimes got a little choked up when i would look in and could see what others were doing for me.I feel so gratefull and blessed by just knowing the people on this place we call a message board but to me and others it is somewhat like a second home.Like someone said earlier it was more like a family reuinion that i cant wait to see you all again next time :) thank you all so much for everything including my now rust free truck:metal: :metal: :metal:

spray bomb... the more I learn about you, the more I am impressed. My hat's off to you man, cool bug.

Boss, like I was saying out there, it may be a truck meet, but it was the comrodery (spelling???) that made it fun. Even the family members were all smiles all the time. Despide the cussing that you heard from under your truck, it was MY PLEASURE to help you out.

Honestly, at first I felt kinda bad that there weren't more people (including myself) helping out on BOSS's truck. But seeing the determination of the people that were working on it, and with it being "only" a two car garage, if more people had been in there, they would've just been in the way.

I will attest to all the hard work put in by all those that helped out on BOSS's truck. I was really shocked when I rolled in on my way home Sun morning at 7:30AM and there was Pickles already having started working and kicking alot of ass I might add. She did pause long enough to give me a hug good-bye ;). A huge thank you to all those who donated their time and effort in some substantial heat and humidity.
