I was posting a reply and it came back saying it had an error, but no description. Hit submit a couple more times, same message. So I closed my browser and updated the forum page and went back into the post. Now my reply is first and the owner's post is second.

That's simply because they fixed the server time while you were responding making your post appear to have been made 15 minutes earlier than it really was.
