Any have pics of the process of rounding out the passenger side of the firewall? Im refering the the part that is missing where the blower is. Ive filled in all those holes and really would like to round the corner to match the drivers side. Anyone have detailed pics of how they did this and what the fabbed up patch piece looked like?

Ahh, nice pics! So filling in the lip part makes making that corner alot easier. No need to fab up the lip and makes it look much better.
What gauge metal did you use? Looks thick.

I would love to do this on my latest monster. I have a Vintage Air underdash heater.

I don’t remember, it’s been a couple of years, but if I had to guess I made it from some scrap 16 gauge I had laying around. The gauge wasn’t important for that area. I have a friend with a machine shop so I just get some scraps every once in awhile. The only metal I usually have to buy is the thinner stuff for the outside body panels.

18-20 gage is usually the norm for sheetmetal work. 20 is a little thinner than the 18. 18 gage is .0478 thick or 47 thousandths and 20 is .0359 thick or you might as well say 36 thousandths thick.
