Wells Blue Bunny makes a killer New York Vanilla. I have about 2 cups each night before bed. throw in some brownie crumbs and I am in Heaven.

I agree! When I was a kid at Lake Okoboji there was nothin' like a bowl of Blue Bunny vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce to cool off in the late evening. Brings back a lot of good memories.;)

Hands down - Roselani - Hawaii Local Ice Cream - can't find it anywhere else...

www.roselani.com

I went there just before Memorial Day this year - and finished 3 tubs of this stuff over the week - yes - it is that good.

Sadly - you have to go to Hawaii to get it (or on some cruise lines that go near Hawaii) - don't worry - it is worth the trip.

A few flavors that they offer...(from their site)

Banana Mac Crunch
Banana Ice Cream, Mac Nuts & Toffee Brittle
Chocolate Macadamia Nut
Our traditional chocolate with toasted nuts
Classic Macadamia Nut
The toasted nuts in our vanilla - yum!
Fresh Brewed Koffee
Yup - the favorite made with real coffee
Haupia
The glorious original coconut pudding ice cream
Hawaiian Vanilla Bean
Our traditional best using vanilla grown on the Big Island - a first!
Kona Mud Pie
It flies off the shelf: coffee ice cream, mocha fudge sauce & choco cookie pieces
Macadamia Nut Brittle
Our classic vanilla with toffee brittle added
Mango 'n Cream
A tropical classic - no one has come close to duplicating!
Menehune Mint
A little fun with traditional mint chip
Pauwela Sunrise
Orange "dreamsicle" ice cream (think 50/50 bar) with Maui pineapple chunks
Poppa's Classic Chocolate
It doesn't get any better than Poppa's recipe

As far as grocery store stuff goes Blue Bell takes the cake. I also like to pit stop at the Baskin Robins on occasion for some pralines and cream. Missy likes the TCBY frozen yogurt stuff.

Hmmm, never heard of that place. I'll have to check it out the next time I go to the outlets. Thanks! I'm not a big ice cream fan, but I like Coldstone - cherry cake double take with sweet cream and cheesecake ice cream mixed. Thats good stuff!

It's across from the Red Lobster (I think), There is a new strip mall behind the Red Lobster. It's on the same road all the outlet stores are on.

My daughter has turned me onto Gelato! Man, it's SOO good it has less fat & is creamier than regular ice cream.I don't care if I ever eat regular old ice cream ever again.

Around here, Blue Bell. But there used to be a little store in Kirby, Arkansas, called Ernie Dunlap's, that had the best dang ice cream I ever ate. Cost a nickel a scoop, but that was a while back.

From two places:

Hank's Ice Cream (out of Texas, but he setup shop here also).
Jake's Ice cream.

My favorite flavors of theirs are:

- banana pudding (comes with nilla wafers and banana slices!)
- chocolate slap yo' momma
- cinammon bread pudding
- almond joy
- coffee and donuts (yummmy!!)
