I just finished reading your FAQ on body panel alignment, lots of great information. The '70 I just bought doesn't have a single panel on it that's well adjusted. What's the proper order for aligning panels on a truck that's already completely assembled? I'm not looking to disassemble the truck, but I'd like to get a little closer. Do I start by getting the doors to look right in the cab opening, then move to the cowl, then the fenders, then the hood, then the grille? That seems logical, but I've never done this before...

You've got it. The cab can't be changed, so you start by fitting the doors to the cab. Then the fenders to the doors and so forth. However, that is not to say that you don't go back and re-adjust panels to get a "bestest" fit. Sometimes you just can't get a panel perfect, however, you can get it "almost" all over instead of trying to get it perfect. In other words you may get it perfect on three sides but that last side it is horrible. It is better (in my opinion) to get it "ok" on all sides instead of beating it go death trying to make it perfect on that last side.

Thanks for the input. Now all I gotta do is go mess it up worse than it already is, and work from there.
