No, sorry it doesn't, but it may to my wife. She has been here her whole life. As for me, I moved out of God's country about 14 yrs. ago. She swept me off of my feet and drug me across the river out of Western Kentucky. Took me a while to gettin use to huntin' deer with a shotgun. We use rifles where I come from. I must say I have grown to like the Illini state which seems it can't find a worthy Governor for some reason. Looks like Southern Illinois is where home is now! Made a whole new set of hickabilly friends to add to the ones in KY. Ain't no such thang as havin' to many friends if ya know whatta mean!

theres a fertilizer plant right out side of town that does fertilizer prills. that are like little pills.

I am a rusty truck farmer,since that's the only thing in my barns-He-He.You would axpect more truck related stuff out here in farm country but I am not aware of anything going on around here.It seems that you guys down South have all the shows and swaps.
There was a truck show last year in Montgomery and it was pretty sad.Nobody showed.
If ya hear of anything in my area,throw a brick my way. That'll get my attention-HA- KB

I'm from Dekalb. Moved to Cherry Valley about 6 years ago. Nothing near Rockford either. I get alot of looks and compliments though. There's a "hillbilly Deluxe" truck in town here that's pretty cool. I need to get a pic of it.

Will you be in the suburbs or the city?I don't know alot of parts places or shops in the city,but there's alot of good ones in the suburbs.And there's alot of junkyards around here too

Theres two pretty big car shows in morris every year, theres the hunnert car pile up http://www.hunnertcarpileup.com/ and the annual lions club show which is actually out by channahon at the lyondel factory

new job is in the city of west chicago. so ill be close to there..perhaps st charles? not sure, still trying to figure out where. right now, im just looking for a monthy rental with a bed and shower until spring...
