Okay guys, I decided on March 29th. I think that is far away enough that everybody can make plans to attend. I know Easter is the Sunday before this so I didn't want to put it on Easter weekend.

Same rules as usual. I'll supply the bulk of the food, I'll decide the menu later, with your help I'm sure. Bring the beverage of your choice, preferably not alchoholic, let's keep this family friendly. Also if somebody wants to bring a dessert that would be great.

I'm going to say this but people will still use this as an excuse not to come, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DRIVE YOUR TRUCK, BLAZER, OR BURB!!!!!!!

My house is located in White House, TN just 15 miles north of Nashville. I'm only 3 miles off of I-65. Real easy to get to and pretty centrally located. For those of you that might want to make a weekend out of it I can support a few of you that may want to come up the night before. There are 4 hotels right off of the interstate that are usually priced pretty reasonable. 3 of them I'd recommend :)

Another idea I had was that to have some guys come up Friday morning and we'll go up to the Corvette Plant which is only 45 minutes north of me in Bowling Green, KY.

This is open to anybody that wants to come, not just the Middle Tennessee folks :)

Here's some shots of last year, had a big turn out:

I'll pencil it in. White House isn't far enough away from Lebanon for distance to be an excuse. But it's a little too far out in my schedule for me to say for sure right now. I doubt I'll have truck running by then. I'll just have to drive what's handy.

I'm going to try my very best to make it. It's at the top of my "to-do" list:D

Yes, you guys are more then welcome to come and crash here. I only have one extra bed, but you can have the couch and recliners downstairs. I wasn't expecting you guys to drive back I thought you would just get a room at one of the hotels, but you can stay here if you'd like. I have lots of space, just not lots of beds :)

Nope, the Dupont plant isn't here. There is a dupont plant down in Lakewood, a suburb of Nashville, but I don't know where else one would be.

Bed, floor, recliner, couch, and just about anywhere else you can think of. Thanks.

There is a Dupont plant in New Johnsonville Tn. Closest one around these parts.

Started a new job in June '07, after being off work from the lay off and my mother having open heart surgery last of 06.

Also started dating again, because the last girlfriend changed jobs in july/aug 07, and started seeing one of her workers in oct/nov, and I found out for sure Dec 1st when his truck was at her house at 7 am.

I've seen the post for the big '08 meet and am going to try to be there.

Ron 586
01-26-2008, 01:53 PM
Well I would say you have been busy. Hope the new job is what you want to do. Sorry to hear of the home front problems but unfortunately it happens in the best of relationships. Give it your best shot to make the big go in July. I promise it's gonna be a barn burner.

Too bad I didn't read this thread the other day, I went sailing past the sign for White House and I didn't realize that you lived that close to the interstate, I had a meeting in Goodletsville? to attend to though. Have fun at your cookout, it sounds like a lot of fun.

Will someone post some decent directions and off which interstate? I live in Ky and that would be a good drive but close enough to meet some more members. Maybe see what Josh is up to these days. We met at Warrens cruise in/board meet. Or give me an adress and I'll mapquest it but that's not always the best route.

Bryan,

Take I-65 South and get off at exit 108. Go right off of the interstate. Take the second road on the right(Caution Light). I'm 2.5 miles down on the right.

Pretty easy

BradE
03-08-2008, 09:33 PM
OK, for those who live close but are a little late on the take, can you please give specific time, date and directions? Coming from Franklin, TN and I live waaaay too close to miss meeting y'all and your trucks!:metal:

5150
03-08-2008, 10:39 PM
Brad, I'm 3 miles off exit 108 in White House, TN. I can make it to Franklin in about 35-45 minutes depending on traffic in Nashville, so it's not that far from you.

It's on March 29th, I'd say MOST people will be showing up around 9 or 10. Unless you are Luv, Ron, or Pickles, who showed up last year and served me breakfast in bed :), just kidding guys. The more time I get to talk trucks the better.
