I know about the bashing rules and is this supposed to be a thread to find out about bad deals? Was wondering how everyone can watch out for the bad deals if we do not know what or who to watch out for. Don't want this thread to be a bashing thing but if it is confirmed and legit we might need to know. It has helped me out alot because I saw the tread about James Blanton. I almost bought from him several times on Evil-Bay.

Just posting to find out more details on this forum.

I don`t have an answer.But,wonder how we can tell about a bad deal with a member w/o it being a bash.No matter how you word it,isn`t it bashing to talk here about how you got screwed by another member?Just feel a proper etiquette guideline is in order.I had a particulatly bad deal that I`ve been biting my lip on for over a year.Then,this shows up.Not saying the guy will screw ya,but I`ll never deal with him.I`ll prolly just keep biting my lip.

what if we all kept biting our lip with James. I just might still be waiting on the parts I was looking at a year ago. Also I have had some great deals on here. Bought a window from a member around Dallas and he said wait to send the $ when I get it. I had another member pick it up for me when he was out in that area. He wouldn't accept his $ and just waited until I received the window. That is the deals I like. When people have that much trust in you (seller and buyer) but with how big this site is now we are picking up a few dead beats out there (luckly enough I haven't hade that yet) and we need to find a calm way to let others know.

I didnt read it until now. The answer is stick to facts, leave emotion out of it.

for example:

bad = I bought a whozicallit from that fkstick josh ( only name i can use safely for an example) who screwed me the f over. I paid this that n all my money was there in a day and that scum sucking sob didnt mail out my part for 3 months. Dont do business w this ahole or your gonna get bent over n done dry.

good= on sept 12 i answered a thread by josh located (insert link here) we made a deal on the whozicallit he had listed in the said link. We made arrangements for the deal and the money was paypal'd that afternoon. The parts, although in great shape, did not arrive for 3 months. There was no contact from the user, even after several PMs and emails from myself.


That gives the other party a chance to reply as well in an acceptable manner, while giving those who buy and sell a chance to make up their own minds for future purchases.



now for the disclaimer.. Josh has in no way shape or form had a bad deal with me on this site. His name was used as an example so that I would not get yelled at or whined to for using a name similar to someone else on the site, and therefore curbing the drama that was sure to follow.

That clears alot up. Going buy the site rules and what has been posted here it looked like you could beat around the bush but not state the facts. I think you should paste that post in your thread bringing people here.

James Blanton is a different case as he`s not a board member.We have no problem flaming companies and individuals "on the outside".Usually if a member flubs a deal,as in crooked or just poor communication to the point there`s concern.They don`t get a second chance to screw anyone else.That makes this site safer than Ebay or any other private transaction mail-order entity.Bad dealers just don`t last.And,intervention is much more personal.

Oh,I guess I forgot that.Been awhile.I know he continues to be a rip-off at swap meets and Ebay(maybe other trucks sites)and what I`ve heard has been since he got the boot.
