Just wanted to start a thread asking for your all ideas on what you would like to see or do at the meet? This will give us a start and Ron could give details on what is possible and close to do also.

Thanks Boss. I am wide open for suggestions. I don't want to get to much going on so that the activities cut into the BS sessions and visiting that happens when old friends get together. Also the meeting of new friends that you haven't seen before. So with that said suggest away and we'll try to make it happen.

Keep it simple. planning all kinds of things takes away from visiting and meeting others.
Last year at Boss's, everyone had a chance to just kick back, relax, eat, BS.
For most, it's somewhat hectic getting there, then getting back, so while there take a break, talk trucks, and visit.
Have something for children to do for those who bring them.
Seems like everyone who attended last year, had a good time just hanging around.

No matter where you are in line you will get all you want to eat. Now the people at the end of the line may not get what the head of the line got but you will get all you can eat. We don't run short around here.

I agree with the plenty of food, we missed the Friday night dinner spread by about 4 hours last year, but there was plenty left for us anyways. We had a great time last year just wandering around and talking last year, maybe this year it will be a bit easier for us as the little guy has finally taken up walking, no more of this carrying him everywhere, I hope anyways.

good job keeping up with everyone last year but still missed a few here and there.

Liz and I didn't get to talk so I'll go out on a limb and say bring canopies. My place is all open and not a lot of shade. Just watch the threads and plan accordingly. But thanks for the offer needed or not.

Meet ideas. Sounds like you're asking if we have ideas on things to do? Well, at the Norwood meet last year, a bunch of us hooked-up at the motel and went for a late evening cruise. We went up the road about 12 miles or so to Cabool to an all night truck stop. We had Cokes, coffee, hot tea and some absolutely KILLER pie! Cheap, easy and we got to "cruise". Anything along that line sure suits me. If there's cruisin' involved, count us in(my honey likes to cruise as much as I do)!:truck:

We have a cruise on the list of things to do if the trucks and people are up for it. Will be posting polls when we get closer to the date. Thanks.

Here's the plan. Give me ideas on what you would like to do and I will check to see if it is offered in the area. Example, 10 want to go to the drag strip, 20 want to go to the circle track, 15 want to cruise, and 30 want to sit and visit. Your first choice is do I want to go to the meet or not. So if you are having to make this choice your first choice was come to the meet and now pick what you want to do and do it. When it is over come back and join the BS session in progress or to the motel. We don't have to all do the same thing so tell me what you want to do and we'll try to make it happen for you. It's your call how you spend your time.

I agree, that was a blast!

I was telling someone the other night how much fun we had on that midnight run, my son really enjoyed it as well, he kept begging for ADHDCARGUYS (Jay's) Tater tots, mind you my son was only 9 months old then, so he could get away with it.

BTW, Hey Ron, how close is Cindy's? (All You Can Eat Catfish buffet)

I'm not sure how close Cindy's is. But if you want catfish the best place around is country western steakhouse in Camden and it's 15min. from the house. They have a fish plate that is all I want but if you order the dinner it is all you can eat and they will keep you covered up. Another choice on the list of things to do.

Mine is in pretty good shape but it's rusting above the wheel wells and I wondering if I can find a better one at a reasonable price.

Been looking at hotels in the area and so far I am looking good to make it. No family, just me and the blue beater.

Eat, cruise, shoot the S--- (academically discuss vehicular stuff), and make sure no one's hands get near Luv at the buffet. :haha: Life is GOOD!!

I would say go ahead and see what you can get. I don't have any official word about door prises yet. But from what I get from our talks this one will be patterned after last years. (at least the good parts)

We will be doing door prizes again. Gonna start soliciting vendors and places within the next month for giveaways etc.

At every meet to date we have managed to get enough prizes that everyone received something. Thats our goal this year, anything above and beyond is just gravy!

wow... I never knew there was a cruise last year!
I agree that ppl will have a good time just chillin and stuff. I know I had an awesome time, sittin under my canopy, kickin back and goofin off. It went into the night, i kicked on the lights in the canopy, and continued to have fun.
Liz... I'll take the first shift in keepin you entertained. ;)
I do think a cruise will be fun... maybe I should install the 3rd seat in the burb so i can haul a couple more for cruise time. (I'm sure there will be ppl who would want to cruise with me... maybe... even w/out the a/c)
Josh... I have a couple items I can throw in for the door prizes

LOL! That's exactly what I was thinking. I know had I known last year, and attended, I'd have been riding bitc... wait ...ummm... passenger, and I'm sure there would be more than a couple that would like to atend such an event and not be in a ram, or minivan as the 2 examples already mentioned.
If I am able to have all three seats, (that 3rd one KILLS cargo space) I'll have seating for 7 with seatbelts, 9 is we have real thin ppl who don't care about restraints.
