I'm hoping the Nova is running this year when I get down there. I have not seen it run in person just the vids. I'd be happy sitting in the pass. seat for 1 launch. I showed my oldest boy (almost 15) these a while back and he wanted to go to grampa Ron's for a ride

I have the engine that will be in the Nova in the round garage ready to take to Larry to be built. He has been under the weather of late but said he was about ready to go to work. It will have a little better set of heads and a toilet if the guy don't double cross me. Should pick it up some. The marks I burned in the road that day are still there. I'm going to straighten them out this year. I may have to grow old but I refuse to grow up.

That was the last pass I made in it on the strip. We put the 502 in it and it turned out to be junk so going back with a 454/468 like was in it before. Should have it home in time for the July meet. We will have something here that will turn the tires.

Yeppers, if you look close you can see the sparks flying in the burnout box

Yeah, that was caused by the transmission/bellhousing breaking.

Put a new transmission in it and while it was sitting in the garage at idle it destroyed the engine.

Yeah you are. I had hoped that 502 was going to be a bad boy. Turned out to just be bad. I have a 454 out of the 77 burb over there now to be machined to put in it but Larrys still having health problems and other stuff going wrong so nothing done as of 2 weeks ago. We're running about 2 years late . Just have to wait and see.
