View Full Version : truck buddy buckets
Fastrucken 01-29-2008, 11:10 AM Here is a set of truck body buckets that were removed from my 65, obvious not original to the truck. Will need new seat covers or maybe just the cloth replaced the vin. Don’t mind the junk in the console; it doesn't come with the purchase. Prefer not to ship since these aren't the separate buckets but always open to suggestions.
SOLD pending payment from DREAMS OF A 67
Updated 1/29.... I think these might be orignal cushions however I cannot read the "gm-22" on the bottom but there is a distinct rectangle like the gm-22 pads. I think you could just recover the p/s both foams are in good shape. The d/s top is in recoverable condition but the bottom d/s would need to be reinforced on the bottom cushion (something a upolstery shop could do)
HavinSomeFun 01-29-2008, 11:39 AM looking for anything in trade?
Hart_Rod 01-29-2008, 11:53 AM Those kind of look like the Dodge buddy buckets, or at least the way the upholstery is done does. Do you have a picture of the bottom? Here's some Chevy ones for reference:
Fastrucken 01-29-2008, 12:10 PM no pics of the bottom tonight. here is one of the side mounting brackets. They did bolt into the existing bolt holes though. if that would help identify matters..
Hart_Rod 01-29-2008, 12:16 PM Shape of the seat cushions looks like the Dodge version.
Hart_Rod 01-29-2008, 12:19 PM Do they tilt forward?
Fastrucken 01-29-2008, 12:33 PM Hart_rod.. I think they are the chevys... I found this post
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=252608
The ones i have have the same base/ part that bolts to the floor as the chevys. the doges look totaly different here...
The D/S back folds foward the P/S if fixed, I wouldn't say that it tilts
Hart_Rod 01-29-2008, 12:44 PM It's probabley just the way the upholstery is done. Do they have GM22 on the seat cushion?
Fastrucken 01-29-2008, 12:54 PM I just looked quickly with a flashlight and I didn't see the GM22 on it. Possibly is has been redone once before and that would explain the difference

shade67 02-07-2008, 09:09 AM I have never seen chevy ones fold over on the drivers side like that- I had a set in my first truck and I have a set in the basement that I just looked at and that set doesn't fold either. Not saying they're not chevy- just different than what I have seen.
meathead95 02-07-2008, 10:27 AM i have an am/fm id trade yah for these seats
Hart_Rod 02-07-2008, 10:27 AM Mine fold and I know they are Chevy. I think the ones ordered in burbs or panels are setup that way, but not 100% sure.
Fastrucken 02-13-2008, 07:43 AM someone make an offer. I really have no place to store
LILRED66 02-13-2008, 09:15 AM How much, shipped to Kansas City, KS?
Fastrucken 02-13-2008, 01:23 PM LILRED66,This would have to be crated because of how long it is, but as long as it is termanal to termanal looks to be about 125-160 depending on the final weight..

LILRED66 02-13-2008, 06:31 PM How much for seats, including shipping to Kansas City, KS?
Fastrucken 02-14-2008, 12:48 AM all pm replied to...
special-K 03-09-2008, 04:19 PM These are likely`67s,since some`67 bench seats folded forward.Other than that the only 67/68 differences are in the cover design. These were definately nicely recovered at some point.Nice set!(I`m used to saying that to women)

aggie91 04-01-2008, 08:09 PM Did the sale go thru? If not, how much you want for them. I'm only about a hour away in east texas.
Fastrucken 04-02-2008, 01:12 AM sorry their sold...
msgross 09-20-2008, 02:35 PM Just bringing this one back to life.. That seat frame looks taller than a truck set of BB's. The mounting is more like a chevy though and the driver side seat isn't adjustable.
My dodge BB's (pictured in black above) even have GM22 on the bottom seat cushion.
