I'm assuming I have a later truck rear as it's a 5x5 patern. Anyone know what rear wheels studs are needed? Snap one and want to replace with like ARP or something else legal.

View Full Version : What wheel studs Super73 01-29-2008, 01:01 PM I'm assuming I have a later truck rear as it's a 5x5 patern. Anyone know what rear wheels studs are needed? Some of them screw in from the rear of the axle. Just check Jeg's or Summit. Super73 01-30-2008, 01:21 AM I was going to go with press in's. Any idea regards to the knurl size? I have 1/2-20's right now, but like you mentioned I want to go open shank style. Outlaw72 01-30-2008, 04:47 AM Super I am currently shopping for the same thing and here is what I have found so far. I am also 5x5 1/2x20 thread. I knocked one of my wheel studs out just over the weekend and it measures .524 on the knurl. The smallest stud I can find has a .530 knurl and the length is the same as this one. I too am going to a longer stud. So, I'm gunna buy some studs that have a .560-.565 knurl and just trim the axle a bit if that knurl is too large to pop the cherry :) djracer 01-30-2008, 06:03 AM go here and scope out the 8138's http://www.moserengineering.com/Pages/Wheel-Studs/wheelstuds.html Outlaw72 01-30-2008, 08:23 AM go here and scope out the 8138's http://www.moserengineering.com/Pages/Wheel-Studs/wheelstuds.html Those may work for Super. Me.....I'm looking for something that's 2" in length minimum. 71Dragtruck 01-30-2008, 08:32 AM If you guys are going to run Weld draglites your going to need 3" studs and the really long shank nuts. 71Dragtruck 01-30-2008, 08:35 AM Here's what I'm going to run in my new 9". I actually ground a little off of the start of the knurl and forced them in. You will surprised hom much needs to be removed. |
