So far this year has been very distracting for me personally. First with the layoffs where I work due to the crummy economy, and then getting bumped to a different job and shift(of which I hate both). Then I had to take a $3 an hour paycut when I got sent to first shift, so I've had to re-evaluate and make changes to my finances. My old truck broke, then my Mom died very unexpectedly. We thought that she still had a lot more time than she did. Hopefully this will be the end of the distractions for me now and we can move forward with getting this chapter formed and organized. ...Joe

Less than a week for the meeting. Will definitely be there although I don't forsee the 69 being drivable before then...just put the 700r4 in it yesterday and need to get the driveshaft cut...if I get this done this week, then I may drive it if she fires with the 283. Otherwise the yoda will get me there. :) Look forward to meeting all the newbies! :) I will also have information packets and applications if anyone is interested in joining and can make it there.

Me too. Looks like he said South Campbell but I'm sure that he meant South Glenstone instead. That's where they have all been so far (Glenstone) and we have had the time set at 3 p.m. at all of them. I don't see why the time or place would change. As far as I know it will be at Steak And Shake south Glenstone location at 3 p.m. Saturday March 1. ...Joe

We had a good meeting...Four of us this time! :) Myself, Chasedale3and8, Custom 68, and sswitzke. Custom 68 was the only one in his classic since the rest of us don't have one running yet. :( So we admired his beautiful ride and were all anxious to get home and work on our projects of which I have no money to do, so I just came home...:) We discussed getting together each month, got some apps out and filled (will send the one I got in and awaiting sswitzke to get his back to me)...a decent turnout of other rides for being the first day of march. Lots of people itching to get out after the bad February we had. All in all, a good meeting and looking to continue to get the chapter moving forward.

It was a good meeting this month. I was drooling over the 5.3 conversion in Custom68's truck. Looked like it came from the factory with that engine in it. Very clean, and well detailed. Makes me want to put a late model Vortec in my 86. I can vouch for the power and fuel mileage that they get since I have an 03 Silverado. They are an awesome powerplant!

Next month I hope to have my old truck up and running again. I would rather have driven it than the 03, but things just haven't been working out too well for me lately. Glad that more than 2 of us made it this month! Maybe the chapter will start growing now! It was nice to meet some new members from this area! ....Joe

Glad to hear you had a good meeting Robert. I thought about you guys when I was working on Saturday. If I wouldn't have had my co-worker in the truck with me I would have stopped in at the meeting.

Yes we will. I'll be happy just to get mine drivable at this point. :) Hate the fact I spent 1200 for a vehicle I can't drive...but it was still worth it. :) Shooting for a few more people to attend next month. Let's round them up!

I didn't take mine either. Since it is usually just Bobbo and myself, and we already know what each other looks like, I figured there wasn't any point in taking my camera along! LOL ...Joe
