it's a 1985 swb 90k original miles. and it has pw, pdl, ac, cruise, 305, 700r4, 17" american racing hopsters. just needs trim (still waiting on a good deal as of 12/11/2009), drop kit (done), and a stereo (done). i fn love it. shorties are too awesome:metal:. I'll post pics asap.

i got the 3 inch drop spindles and started making my notch kit. i used a 6 inch pipe for the notch the same as the one on ken's(n2trux) truck. i also started rough fiberglassing the dash so that i can paint it body color and cut out one of the heater vents so that i can install my dvd player there.

been back and fourth between like 5 projects, but here is the dash for this truck in its first sanding stage. man! fiberglass is no joke! it's going to take me forever to sand this stuff true.

Yea I have the same prob, what I do is email them to myself and that resizes them, there should be a setting that you can change on your camera (I can't do it so I will ask the 12 year old kid next door to do it for me)

I'm buying the rest of the trim. i like stock appearing trucks, low with bigger wheels.

sooooo........ my girlfriend got the original 305 hot and fried the motor on the 85. i built a 383 for it and it has been sitting on a stand for the last two months. i will put it in soon as possible. the drop spindles, springs and flip kit are all installed. the firewall is primed and painted and the motor is ready to go in it's just finding time.

Nice truck! Can't wait to see it with the dropped. As far as what determines the picture size, it's the resolution on the camera. The higher the resolution the bigger the picture (and less pics you can fit in your memory card).

well i went to the pomona swap meet yesterday and these things followed me home. Sorry for the crappy picture. they are 22x9 coys. 5.50 backspacing on the front, 5 backspacing on the back. I'm running a 285-35-22 tire front and rear. my drop is approx. 5/7 with a flip kit and shackles in the rear c notched, and 2 inch drop coils with 3 inch djm drop spindles. ill have pictures of the truck dropped on 22s as soon as i get to take pictures to do it justice.:chevy:

i smooth the dash out by fiberglassing, bondo and primer and i sent it to my upholster and he put padding on it and covered it for 110.

Yo! Y'all! Especially 69face!
VERY impressed with your truck and the work you're doing on it!!
Search for Windows Powertoys. Download and install the picture re-sizer software. Then you can use "custom" to re-size to 642x0 pixels for posting on this forum. I use an 8.1 Megapixel Sony myself.
Please PM me with questions, I'm happy to help!
Todd.

if the dash cracks no one will ever know because it's covered by the foam padding and pretty thick vinyl covering

I think I would rather do that than spend the ~$400 for a new one!
Have you had a chance to mount the trim to it and mounted it? Pictures please!!!

no i haven't had the trim mounted to it yet, but i have had one done before and had no problems with it. i cut this dash to fit my tv so it will be a bit different.

i bought it from classic industries last time i was there. the brand is OER. it was expensive( bought 4 at 17 dollars each) as heck. it sprayed very well. as far as the lasting part. we'll see. next time i'm going to try this vinyl paint they have at home depot. it's made by rustoleum and i haven't had an issue with them thus far in life.

Stay away from the rustoleum plastic paint it chips very easy .You are basicly buying latex spray on paint when you buy the rustoleum stuff. Looks good im am fiberglassing my dash and tips on how you did yours?

Wheels are on tomorrow afternoon. I had to renegotiate my stance with the 285/35/22 tires. I have a set of 2 inch springs and a set of 3 inch springs and i put in the 3 inch springs and the stock wheels rub the inner fenders. I just painted them and would like to keep them, so for now i have taken out the rear shackle to give me a total of 5 inches rear and put the 2 inch springs up front to give me a 5 inches up front. I think i'll end up swapping the springs and getting rid of the fender wells eventually
