69face 03-26-2008, 10:26 AM i got the 3 inch drop spindles and started making my notch kit. i used a 6 inch pipe for the notch the same as the one on ken's(n2trux) truck. i also started rough fiberglassing the dash so that i can paint it body color and cut out one of the heater vents so that i can install my dvd player there.

Yea I have the same prob, what I do is email them to myself and that resizes them, there should be a setting that you can change on your camera (I can't do it so I will ask the 12 year old kid next door to do it for me)

SBTork 04-16-2008, 04:46 PM very nice rig, any thoughts about removing the trim below the taillights and on the tailgate?
69face 04-17-2008, 01:08 AM very nice rig, any thoughts about removing the trim below the taillights and on the tailgate?
I'm buying the rest of the trim. i like stock appearing trucks, low with bigger wheels.

ME Too! Truck is looking good and that dash should be slick when done.

sooooo........ my girlfriend got the original 305 hot and fried the motor on the 85. i built a 383 for it and it has been sitting on a stand for the last two months. i will put it in soon as possible. the drop spindles, springs and flip kit are all installed. the firewall is primed and painted and the motor is ready to go in it's just finding time.
Low84 09-07-2008, 02:13 AM Nice truck! Can't wait to see it with the dropped. As far as what determines the picture size, it's the resolution on the camera. The higher the resolution the bigger the picture (and less pics you can fit in your memory card).
Square84 09-07-2008, 02:27 AM i have a 5 mega pixel camera and i have to turn it down to 3 mega pixels to be ablt to load the pics truck looks good lets see it lowered

69face 10-06-2008, 07:46 PM i got the dash back from the upholster today. planned on fiberglassing it, but i got tired of sanding so he put 1/8" foam on it and covered it in vinyl.394288

Blitz 01-19-2009, 03:59 PM I'm loving that dash. Looks really nice. If you don't mind me asking...how much did that set you back? I can't wait to see what the truck looks like, dropped, rimmed and ready to run. Keep us updated!

i smooth the dash out by fiberglassing, bondo and primer and i sent it to my upholster and he put padding on it and covered it for 110.
69face 01-19-2009, 04:15 PM forgot to put up the new engine and cleaned engine bay pictures.

asphaltburner 01-19-2009, 07:46 PM Yo! Y'all! Especially 69face!
VERY impressed with your truck and the work you're doing on it!!
Search for Windows Powertoys. Download and install the picture re-sizer software. Then you can use "custom" to re-size to 642x0 pixels for posting on this forum. I use an 8.1 Megapixel Sony myself.
Please PM me with questions, I'm happy to help!
Todd.

73chevyman 01-19-2009, 08:49 PM oh by the way 69 sweet ride man hey how well does fiberglassing hold up to the weather. dash looks sweet but it could crack
69face 01-19-2009, 08:56 PM oh by the way 69 sweet ride man hey how well does fiberglassing hold up to the weather. dash looks sweet but it could crack
if the dash cracks no one will ever know because it's covered by the foam padding and pretty thick vinyl covering
73chevyman 01-19-2009, 09:05 PM thats true looks fresh though can't wait to see the finish interior mines a little more ruff lol

no i haven't had the trim mounted to it yet, but i have had one done before and had no problems with it. i cut this dash to fit my tv so it will be a bit different.
69face 01-26-2009, 07:22 PM i got most of the trim pieces out to redye and dyed them. i have to get the kick panels and the door panels out to finish up.

Blitz 01-26-2009, 08:26 PM Looks really good. What did you use to ReDye them? (you had to know that was coming:lol:) What would you say the quality and...uhhh, "Last-ability" of the dye job is?

i bought it from classic industries last time i was there. the brand is OER. it was expensive( bought 4 at 17 dollars each) as heck. it sprayed very well. as far as the lasting part. we'll see. next time i'm going to try this vinyl paint they have at home depot. it's made by rustoleum and i haven't had an issue with them thus far in life.
Blitz 01-26-2009, 11:56 PM Sounds good. Thanks for the info. I've never had to use stuff like that...yet. But I was considering some for the future.
ScottH 01-27-2009, 02:32 PM Truck is lookin great. If u want to sell those 17" wheels/tires drop me a PM.
Chlsnk 01-27-2009, 03:39 PM Stay away from the rustoleum plastic paint it chips very easy .You are basicly buying latex spray on paint when you buy the rustoleum stuff. Looks good im am fiberglassing my dash and tips on how you did yours?
silvereagle07 01-28-2009, 08:53 PM Looks like a solid truck. Looking good! Do you have the wheels on the truck yet? Dash pad looks great.
69face 01-28-2009, 11:12 PM Wheels are on tomorrow afternoon. I had to renegotiate my stance with the 285/35/22 tires. I have a set of 2 inch springs and a set of 3 inch springs and i put in the 3 inch springs and the stock wheels rub the inner fenders. I just painted them and would like to keep them, so for now i have taken out the rear shackle to give me a total of 5 inches rear and put the 2 inch springs up front to give me a 5 inches up front. I think i'll end up swapping the springs and getting rid of the fender wells eventually
manimal 01-29-2009, 07:57 AM WOW! Looks great!
