Does anyone know if a rebuild kit is available for our alternators. I tried advanced auto, They sell rebuilt alternators, but tell me no one makes a rebuild kit. Thanks for any info. My alternator still works, but the bearing is starting to whine. Later, Rich

CS130D? Good luck. I would take it to an alternator place. Have them install a new bearing. I'm in the same boat too.

They lied.

alternatorparts.com (http://store.alternatorparts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=310)

partsamerica (http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?MfrCode=VLP&MfrPartNumber=GMA03&PartType=876&PTSet=A)

And if all you need is the bearings, they can be purchased separately.

How hard is it to replace the bearings? Can I do it with general garage tools?
