who all is going to the charlotte auto fair???? i am

Im there every year. Spring and fall!! Aint buying anything or shopping around for anything but if ya a true auto buff,...ya best be there,.........and if ya a hardcore gearcore,....ya bringing the wife(love her)!!! See ya up there!!!!!!

If you are part hunting....the best days to go are thursday and friday....by Saturday most of the parts vendors are alomost out of everything you need....also have experienced that most parts vendors leave out saturday afternoon!!!....good luck

THIS YEAR?? i think it's rained for the last 5years for at least half the days//sort of reminds me of hersey in the 60's and 70's// i'm packed with longjohns and raingear leavin early tomorrow morning

^It's been nice for the fall events, but I remember I went to the spring event two years ago and got SOAKED on Saturday :lol:

Today they are saying rain is 50% Friday and Saturday....mostly the chances are in the afternoon, but hey what do meteorologist know?!?!?!....I'm bringing the umbrella too....hopefully I'll have room for it (gotta buy a few large items this weekend!!!):metal:

NOW they're showing 70% and AM and PM showers and T-storms!!! I looked yesterday evening and it was down to 30%. WTH? :confused:

I think I'm out this year anyway. I really want to make the "board meet" and I'm meeting my pops in Carlisle on the 25th :metal:

If the weather turns out halfway decent, I'll be there Saturday AM.

There are quite a few small time vendors there, but from the board Tim Christian from Christian Classics (http://www.christiansclassics.com) will be there (I have already talk to him about bringing me a couple of bumpers)...Also, talked to the folks at the Truck Shop they will be there as well....(http://www.truckandcarshop.com)....

i was there and sat it rained a little bit but i scroed with some fendors and a tailgate band chrome bumpers and some hotwheels lol

I went Friday it wasn't that bad just overcast and some drizzle . alot of cars and trucks on the track I could have seen at a dealer ship . Late Models stuff IMPO they need to be put all on 1 end of track . But this was 1st year had a great time tho . will be going in the fall . :metal:

The main reason I go is to save on shipping and to ride two hours + 40.00 in gas 15.00 for the ticket and parking. I could have sat at my pc in my boxers and saved $.

I was still clinging to hope it might clear up for saturday, but it rained here (greenville, sc) all morning and most of the afternoon. Glad I didn't go either :D

Hey PT....

I called Tim Christian with Christian Classics before the show and asked him to make sure to bring several items for me...heck I even prepaid ( AND saved on shipping)...that way I knew I would be getting those items when I arrived...Don't try it with the Truck Shop....they don't do that, and YES I asked the same questions to other vendors while I was there too...and yep...got the same answer you did...I know it's frustrating....Also, if at all possible try getting here on thursday or friday....that's usually when all the good stuff gets scooped up!!!

Space....Luckily i went Friday afternoon...and no rain till like 6p....heck as someone else said...the largest sheet metal supplier loaded up friday and left b/c of the rain....getting here early is your best beat is what I am finding out!!!

i did very well selling off a bunch of garage clutter on thursday with a very small crowd//fri it didnt rain and was a much better day weather wise but the crowd was way off from other year fridays and sales sucked//i didnt go sat or sunday as i had to vist a bunch of friends in the area// was quite disappointed that all the major vintage tire guys were there but not one motorcycle tire in anybodys trailer
