View Full Version : Charlotte Auto Fair
Andy4639 04-04-2008, 06:09 PM The weather isn't looking to good for the weekend in Charlotte. Maybe having to work isn't going to hurt so bad after all.
I may still get there though, haven't been told for sure yet!
special-K 04-04-2008, 07:11 PM I had to pass on going...again.I haven`t been since`05,dagnabbit!!
va_tlc 04-04-2008, 07:24 PM im heading out fri evening, hopefully i dont forget the raincoat, im wanting to buy a set of swb rear quarters, would yall think i will get a better deal there verses ordering them, or do they most times add shipping to there parts somehow?
Longhorn321 04-04-2008, 07:40 PM You can definitly get a good deal there! Lots of used stuff and new. You could easily find some good, used, rust free rear quarters or if you can't, there will be someone there selling them new. Lots of times the vendors with new stuff will have a special price for the show only.
I will be there Sat.
67ChevyRedneck 04-04-2008, 07:59 PM ^ I disagree with that a little bit. You can get some awesome prices on all the "new" parts, plus no shipping!!! but in the past couple years I've gone the amount of original sheet metal I've seen there has been very sparse and very high priced!
I've gotten "new" bumpers for $100 each (don't expect that this year though, the prices have all shot up on those!) and I got a very well made new stepside tailgate for $150! (they're normally around $230.)

Yeah, some of the prices I saw were crazy high last year. I guess I need to go on a thursday for once, that's where all the deals are... they're gone by thursday evening!

I think you do have to pay each day. My dad is a vendor so he gives me a pass (look for the longhorn in row VB). The pass has a tear off for each day. I never paid so I don't really know but if the pass were good for the whole event, there wouldn't be tear offs I don't think.:ito:
va_tlc 04-05-2008, 04:00 AM ill try and look yall up longhorn...
Andy4639 04-05-2008, 04:35 PM I know as a spectator in the pass you could buy a one day or two pass. I think they stopped that and now you buy each day.
Most vendors will take anything. I have never had trouble with it before.
