www.explorekentuckylake.com/henry/accommodations/hotels.htm

Use the link above to check out what is close. When it opens click on "more hotels/motels" and go from there. The Econo lodge had the best price of all. I will edit this post with anything else I can kick up.

Go to Google and type in "campground Camden Tn". for close campgrounds in Benton county.

Go to Google and type in "campground Paris Tn", for close campgrounds in Henry county.

I don't really have any first hand information on any of the places listed at this time. If I find out anything I will post it here.

What are the campgrounds (prefer state parks or similar, I'm not too keen on the commercial places) in the general area Ron? We may stay at the wife's friends, they supposedly have a lot of extra room, but I don't know about all that.

Nathen Bedford state park in Camden and Paris Landing stat park in Paris are the closest to me and both are good.

I was curious about who is camping and who is motelling it as well. We are stuck, I like the idea of bringing dow the trailer this year, but Sharon likes the idea of a/c and not cooking with motelling it.

Thought you were bringing the camper. You can stay here but I don't know how many of Lew's crew is going to be here and they asked first. We'll just pretend we're back on Old Union at the old house. So your call.

Econo Lodge in Paris is lowest price group rate on 10 rooms rented. A few posts back should tell you what you need to know.

The camper had crossed my mind. I have to see how bad my mpg drops with it behind the truck. If I don't bring the camper I'll toss my tents and air mattreses in the truck and worse case sleep in there. I didn't know Lew was coming. I will get to see my bro twice in one year. whooo hooo party on.

Justin, Thomas and I will be staying in a motel. Would like to stay with the group, long is it is inexpensive. Fuel will be eating up much of my vacation funds this year...

Post 16 tells you where the cheapest and most likely largest group of folks will be staying.

Post 3 follow the instructions and you will have the latest list of places with numbers to call and most anything you need to know. I did go and look at 5 of the top ones listed and they were clean and about equal in features. About $25 between top and bottom of list. Could not get more than $4 off for groups no matter how many rooms I take and had to pay for them up front. I will try to call again and work up a list from lowest to highest in prices.

I can put up a few through here on Friday night if they can't make it there till
Saturday. (I am coming back here Friday night, only Spending Saturday night
up at Ron's place) I'm about an hour and 30 minutes away if at cruising speed.
Or I can put someone up Thursday night / Sunday night if it helps them out ;)

I'm still trying to figure out if we can make it this year. The Disney trip killed our vacation funds for the years. If we can make it, we will be leaving the motorhome here...can't swing $1200 in fuel for the trip.....might end up pitching a tent in Ron's yard.....

Red, do whatever it takes to get here and we'll try to help. I've waited to long for the chance to meet you and family. It just won't be the same with out you. See you at the meet.
