Burgers and hot dogs fit the budget better and the mouth just as well.Chicken ain`t to hard on the poket, either.Where`s the wild game option? That`s the cheapest.:D

All of the above mentioned foods are best on the grill. I cook a great Carolina BBQ Chicken. I rub my porterhouse steaks down with a special blend of seasonings and cook to desired pinkness. I'm starting to get hungry again.

I would have went with the option all of the above had it of been offered. I went with burgers because I would rather have a good burger than a cheap steak.

I couldn't agree more on a good steak. But unless you know something I don't I doubt we can make it fit our budget. We're a jeans and tee shirt crowd.

I'm one of the biggets supporters of the jeans and t-shirt crowd but I still have to have my steaks. When I'm living in the states, me and my Dad split a whole cow. That gives you the best price possible for your meats. The last 1/2 I got worked out to $2.11 per pound and my 1/2 weighed 360Lb's. I had Porterhouse steaks that would cover a standard dinner plate. I gotta go, I'm starting to drool on the keyboard.

I guess that is why we are having a poll to find out what everyone wants. Then we get to figure out how to pay for it. That's why I'm leaving this up to the ones that hold the purse strings.

I agree with the roadkill option, with all of the poeple travelling to this there is bound to be something getting hit along the way! BRING IT and We'll grill it! :) But if that doesn't pan out, burgers on the grill sounds great and very American. :)

I would say if the board is supplying it hot dogs and MAYBE burgers on the grill if you want something different you supply it and the grills will be hot. then again I'm a cheap bas****. and I will bring what me and my son will eat. any thing else is pudding on/in the cake. just my thoughts. glen

Hot dogs, hamburgers, maybe some chicken. With people coming and going, and trying to have food available, thru out the day, these are quick and easy to keep them coming. Keep it simple. Don't have to worry about a big menu.
Hungry people will enjoy what's provided. If they are picky, just tell them to close their eye's and when they eat a hot dog, think it's tube STEAK and a hamburger is PORTERHOUSE. :)

:) we will probably do like last year with doing an "afternoon" meal, so there is food available as you say, until it runs out. It seemed to work well last year, and did not break the bank doing a bunch of meals.

We may be able to tag a few on the way up Putter. ;)

I alsomost zapped about 3 between here and PA last week, and saw at least 12 on the side going up and at least that many on the trip back.

With the price of gas beanie weenies might be a good idea:lol:
I vote for cheap and easy

Eat the beanie weenies, generate gas. Deposit gas fumes into tank. Drive to store to get beanie weenies.
Repeat.
