View Full Version : Sat pics (5-3) Valley trucks! (Check em out!)
see ten 05-05-2008, 05:23 AM We're in Maggie Valley right now for the Nats and having a blast. We've got to catch up with some old friends and make a few new ones. I've taken over 300 pics so far and I'd love to share em with you but I'm holdin em back for just a bit. The reason for that is that Josh Kaylor has asked me to help him out with the event coverage for this show. I've never done any freelance work like this and I don't really know how it works. I'm not sure if he needs the pics to be exclusive for Truck Builder or if I can post them as well. Either way I've really enjoyed doing this and I hope it will lead to future opportunities for this kind of work.
I got to hang out with a couple of guys on Saturday who brought in a couple of the nicest trucks I've seen in a while. One of them said that he's a member here but I don't ever recall seeing pics of his truck here or remember what his user name is. He mentioned seeing some of the pics I've posted here on the board and asked if I would shoot pics of theirs for them. Of course I jumped at the chance to share these with you guys!
This is the one that belongs to a board member (Whoever you are STEP FORWARD and take credit for this sweet truck!).

Bob 68327 05-05-2008, 05:25 AM Nice !!! As always !!!!!
see ten 05-05-2008, 05:31 AM If this truck looks familiar it's because that it's the Early Classic pickup. Yes the wheels have been changed but it's the same truck. It's probably my favorite truck at the show!

Hey,I was going to ask how the black truck got a 1972 Virginia plate that said 402 when they didn`t have vanity plates yet. But,how did both trucks have one?I just had to ask.Curious minds...ah nevermind.

Anywho! I hope you guys like these, and I'll be posting some tints and effects later.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FENDER????? Did you get the guy that did that and smack him around alittle??
mfarmer 05-05-2008, 07:55 AM Sweet!!!
67_C-30 05-05-2008, 08:27 AM Oh Man! Awesome pics!! What happened to your truck?:(
bowtieboy93 05-05-2008, 09:18 AM some of your best work see ten!
and yes what did happen to your fender?
Riveted1 05-05-2008, 10:13 AM Very nice indeed! Sorry about your truck! What happened? One of those big rocks jump out in front of ya?
And I agree, the owner of the black truck needs to step forward and give us some details on that sweet ride!
Palf70Step 05-05-2008, 02:47 PM Nice shots Asa. You should use the green truck for off-roading, not red ;)
Sorry she got a boo-boo.
jdstx 05-05-2008, 03:01 PM Great photography. I have a new desktop background.
class01 05-05-2008, 03:16 PM what kinda drop is on those trucks? all are beautiful
special-K 05-05-2008, 03:26 PM S.O.B!! Parking lot (overlook) rash?Have they found the body yet?
I love that style of truck. You can find it anywhere. But,it screams southeast to me.Chevy hybrids with minimal visual mods, stock colors, and a car part or two, like mirrors and steering wheels. And great places to drive`em...all over.
trucks72 05-05-2008, 04:21 PM That orange and white truck is the early classic truck. It is owned by Ronnie Lloyd out of Virginia Beach. The black truck is owned by David Yow(not sure on spelling). We built that truck at The Truck Shop about 15 years ago. The man that had it before David took it to point shows. It scored in the 990's out of 1000. It has held up great for its age.
hotrodhomi 05-05-2008, 05:40 PM nice pics.
see ten 05-06-2008, 04:17 AM Here's some more for you guys! I just got home about an hour ago from the show.

I hope you guys like em! These are probably the nicest trucks that I've ever had the opportunity to shoot. Both of these guys were super nice and I enjoyed hanging out with them. I think that they were more upset about my rock rash than I was.
DMARCUM123 05-06-2008, 04:37 AM i love the red inside on the black truck where did the seat covers cme from and the color of them
Riveted1 05-06-2008, 04:37 AM So I was right, one of those rocks jumped out in front of ya! What do I win?
mfarmer 05-06-2008, 06:31 AM Very nice. I downloaded every picture and will use them a my desktop background. This is some of your best stuff.
Bishops Trucks 05-06-2008, 07:06 AM Very nice pics. I like the tags on the 2 Virginia trucks, very fitting to the rides.
72BlckButy 05-06-2008, 03:01 PM Great pics, and beautiful trucks! Any info on the black '72?
Orange 05-06-2008, 04:26 PM WOW! Those are some nice rides for sure.
Sorry about the truck Asa - I'm sure you'll get it back in shape soon though.
Again - WOW!
