70c10 05-27-2008, 05:17 AM They even made some diecast of the truck and cars from the movie! I've seen the movie a bunch of times! Love the soundtrack!!!
Blue85 05-27-2008, 05:21 AM My truck build started as a dazed and confused replica project, still might throw some slots and side molding on it, http://rides.webshots.com/album/553890103XoBHVJ
caminokid 05-27-2008, 05:36 AM They didnt get all the years right on that site. The El Camino...was a 77. The Duster was a 74. The GMC Truck was a 76.
allen123 05-27-2008, 06:21 AM Very nice truck blue. And 70c10 I've seen that movie to many times i lost count. I usually watch it every night before school when im in bed, but since summer is here I prob won't watch it in a while
wdrthird 05-27-2008, 06:44 AM If you pay attention during the scene where they're in the parking lot initiating the girls, in the background theres a red Firebird with Iroc wheels from an 80's Camaro, but the movie is set in 1976. Just somethin I noticed during the many times I've watched that show. lol
allen123 05-27-2008, 07:32 AM lol thats usually what i do is try to find stuff that is newer than 76
I graduated from HS in 1977, and I saw this movie for the first time last year. No idea why Ive never caught it before.
caminokid 05-27-2008, 10:47 AM That red T/A was the first thing I seen that was wrong with the 80's Camaro rims! One of the cruising seens there is a 78 - 79 Monte driving. I think I noticed it after I had watched it a few hundred times.

Nice trucks. I want to start collecting those but i cant ever find them at wal-mart or at the classic chevy store in the city. They only have camaro's and some other cars.

allen123 05-31-2009, 12:05 AM Yeah its still kind of that way out here where i live, cops dont really care what we do as long as were not breaking stuff or anybodies getting hurt
oklahomaduner 07-14-2009, 10:52 PM Yeah its still kind of that way out here where i live, cops dont really care what we do as long as were not breaking stuff or anybodies getting hurt
Ya even when you are driving 40 over the limit on the wrong side of the road blaring country music jump a curb and spin around in the mud after your curfew.... my friend only got a warning... They are pretty cool here in oklahoma.
allen123 07-14-2009, 10:58 PM Haha that sounds almost exactly what happened the other day my friend was going abotu 20 over at night swerving all the way across the highway it was 4 lane highway with his lights off and i was driving behind thinkin about how retarded he was and wondering when he was going to wreck or get pulled over about a min later i see a car make a huge u turn and then the lights came on lol all he got was a warning
oklahomaduner 07-14-2009, 11:18 PM Haha you gotta love how cool some of these cops around here are. even though a kid i knew got a little over 2000 dollars in fines because he was being a dumbass and was completely disrespectful to the cop and the cop picked him apart.
