I travel this area all the time but I need some info..........A friend of mine is moving to your area and she needs some pointers where to live......she would prefer the "upper class" "middle aged professional with money" areas.
I know a lot of folks with $$$ live over on the lake....but where else should she look?
She has heard about the below area also......what do you know about it?
Ballantyne County in Charlotte
Basically she wants to know the prestigious areas in Charlotte.
I am not familiar with the direct outskirts of Charlotte but.... I know of several people whom live in the Matthews area, which has areas of executive homes as well (nc panthers players etc.)
I am moving this to the NC forum and hopefully you can get some answers there.

Hey 72freak,
The Ballentyne area is very uppity-up.....very nice area....Traffic is crap though if she is to work in downtown...or should I say "uptown" Charlotte....
some refer to the south Charlotte area, Matthews, Dilworth, etc as nice areas as well
I live in Cornelius (this is just north of the city like 15 miles).....this is close to Lake Norman....can be expensive too....not my house, but am close to those that are!!!...Peninsula Club being one subdivision.....again traffic can be crap at times....
Hope this helps!!

Hey 72Freak, Ballantyne is a very nice upper class community. Traffic on I-485 could be an pain in the @#$ though if you work in town. I live on the south side. The Southpark area is also very nice. In the middle of Charlotte and close to everything. That's not where I live of course.....:sexy: but I live nearby.
