Ron 586 07-09-2008, 12:40 PM Wondering what the weather is supposed to be like for the meet at Ron's? If you want all the details just go to www.weather.com then in the zip box put 38221 and it will give you our weather. Click on 10 day forecast at the top and read and weep. Just remember when they call for 30% chance of rain that means there is a 70% chance that it won't. I don't think it will be a problem at this point. 5150 07-09-2008, 01:34 PM It'll be fine. Ron has that huge grain bin and they'll be plenty of canopy's jamie72 07-09-2008, 04:11 PM a little rain won`t hurt mike, he might smell better afterwards.lol btw glad your comming.. Yep my son Glen used the wet towel trick today while weed eating around the pond. As for the weather I think we might get a little shower or two but nothing to wipe us out. We are working our butts off trying to get it all done so bring it on. Huck 07-10-2008, 07:49 AM Ron, lets post some safety thoughts for the team as between heat, rain, and possible storms, we should really have a plan or two. HEAT--SUGGESTION TO ALL---BRING A SMALL TOWEL THAT YOU CAN WET AND DRAPE OVER YOUR NECK TO HELP KEEP YOU COOL. THIS WORKS VERY WELL BY COOLING DOWN YOUR CORITOD ARTERY AND YOU WILL FEEL COOLER IMMEDIATELY. KEEP IT WET AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH THE HEAT VERY WELL! BRING SUNBLOCKER TOO! RAIN---NO BIGGIE AS LONG AS THERE IS NO LIGHTENING. IF THERE IS, TAKE SHELTER IN A CAR/TRUCK OR BUILDING AS THEY ARE DESIGNED TO PREVENT INJURY IN A LIGHTENING HIT. NO TREES OR TENTS AS THEY TEND TO WORK AS LIGHTENING RODS!! dA! STORMS--POSSIBLE TORNADO---TAKE SHELTER IN THE STRONGEST LOWEST SOLID STRUCTURE YOU CAN FIND AND HOONKER DOWN. NO VEHICLE--TENT--TREE--OUTBUILDING AS YOU BECOME A TARGET FOR FLYING PROJECTILES WHICH IS THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF INJURY. NOW THE ABOVE MIGHT SEEM OBVIOUS BUT-----Huck St Ron 586 07-10-2008, 08:11 AM Ron, lets post some safety thoughts for the team as between heat, rain, and possible storms, we should really have a plan or two.
