Well i been kicking around the idea to have something out here at my house in uniontown . I have alot of area to park and to have people and not worry about anything . just need a good idea when to have it and what to do about the food part . I know speacial-k said something about a crab feast in the last few post and we where talking alittle bit about it up at carlise when i seen him . if anyone has any ideas let me know i would like to have this before it gets cold and crappy out .

shoot me a e-mail if you get a plan I will show up with the 72 jasond1986gn@aol.com
I think with these things you just got to pick a date and stick to your guns let everyone know twice what day it is. Make a list of what you want brought everyone is responsible for 1 item and any extras they want to bring fine.

like -
forks - bob
plates-
chips - rodger
soda-

you get the idea.

If Rodger & Bob`s coming I don`t want to come.
I`m up for whatever.I know there`s an couple things in September I want to catch.I`ll see what the dates are.One was an antique truck show in Winchester.I believe it was Sept.25.

Where are all the replies? This guy offers us his place to trash and no one cares?J/K!!!
I vote for a Sunday.Saturdays are cool, but that would leave just me so far,gn4u2c2 works on Saturday.
C`mon,it`ll be nice weather out in the country with good people. It doesn`t get any better.

I'd be up for it. Now that school has started back up, it seems like always have to do something with the kids on the weekends, but I would like to make it to another "get together".

Well,I`m sorry I couldn`t come down your way,too.

This is a good idea.I actually had figured on doing this if I got no response when I announced the cookout I had. But,I could only handle so many people and enough responded.I think it`s the timing. It was spring when I announced mine and people are ready for anything. We get scattered to the four winds in the summer and there are too many things to do it all. We`ll make this happen,I`m sure.Looking forward to it.

Sept. 20th I`m wanting to go see oldchev4x4 race his offroad Blazer in PA if he gets it ready.
The next weekend is an antique truck show in Winchester I want to go to.It`s actually Thursday-Saturday(25-27).That Sunday,28th,could work for me.

As long as I'm not working on the day it's scheduled, I'll try to make it out there for a cookout and would be happy to bring something. I'll keep an eye on this post! Saturday is probably going to be best for me.

You would probably run into my dad there Tim. He would either be in his '57 (with a '55 Front end) or his '67 shortbed.

Me too.I just know I will be doing something te 20th and on the following weekend. But,we just need to nail a date down before moving on.If the following weekend is better,I`ll catch the next one...or we can bump it back more.Just pick a date and we`ll work with it.I think we should leave at least 2-3 weeks lead time.Nail it down and we can start letting people know that may not be watching this thread.

Sunday 9/27?As far as food...that`s no problem.Once we have a day figured we can get into the food details. As far as time...I`d just say noon or even 11 am,if that`s good for being a host.If it`s a Saturday we can hang longer,so could start later.Just remember,we can(and will) always have another one(s).Some will only gather a few and others may get about everyone possible. There were some I thought would be at mine, for sure, that didn`t make it.And,others I wasn`t sure about that did.You never know.

I haven't checked with management -- but 9/27 or 28 would probably be good days for us.

Can we make a date or should we start planning another one? It`s almost October and we need to give time for members to make it work.I`m not being nasty,it`s just that we could have already had one and be on to the next by now. This thing started 8/10 and people get tired of checking in on an area many seldom check,if ever. We`ve pretty much blown the crab feast idea until next year.I`m not an oyster shucker, but we can try that.I`d like to try to get together every other month or so(if not more). That would be something to look forward to and that`s how we can build into a tighter group, like some others. Also,it wouldn`t be such a big deal for those who miss one. There`ll be the next one.Planning wouldn`t be such a big deal.I kinda like just throwing something together a little and see what turns out.I`d like to see us get together to work on a member`s truck as well as eat and be merry. We can wrench and be merry.(I volunteer my stuff 1st:lol:)
Let`s get this one going and move to the next or forget it.Whatya say?

I think it`s up to the host to just make a date and we will work with that. It`s that simple. It was men-only at mine, but just happened that way.I enjoy a mixed crowd:Women,children,dogs,cockatoos...

October 18th or 19th.

This weekend is Fall carlisle. The next is OC run.I figure some will be doing that. But,if the 11th or 12th work better, that`s cool.I`m not going to OC.It`s just that it may be too short notice. At this point many who were interested prolly stopped checking,I`d start a new thread and figure on PMing anyone you/we can think of in the area.
We can`t make all happy. No matter what weekend is chosen some can`t do Saturday and some can`t do Sunday. So just pick one and we should try to alternate Saturdays and Sundays.Let`s make it simple and just do it.

Thanks for the invite. Now,are you sure they wouldn`t mind a bunch of (more) truck talk showing up?
Try to come up with a cookout date,if you still want to do it.I didn`t want to steal your thunder, but didn`t want to just let time keep slipping by.Next thing you know it will be time for my annual June cookout (j/k).
I want to have something to look forward to during the long dark winter every month at least.Let`s start thinking that way.It can be to eat,see an event together, gather to help a member...whatever.
