The Great Labor Day Cruise, Sponsored by the Orange County Cruising Association, Inc. held August 30th through September 1st, 2008 at the Orange County Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA.
This is the premier event for street rod, customs and other special interest cars of 1972 and earlier vintage. This will be the twenty-sixth year for Orange County Cruising Association's most successful cruise and show. With proceeds going to benefit the "Drug Use Is Life Abuse of Orange County", car enthusiasts can help a worthy cause while enjoying participating in the cruise or just viewing the outstanding rods and customs on display.
This year's event is expected to have over 1,700 classics on display and rumbling through the fairgrounds. Spectators and drivers will be rocking to music in the afternoon and into the evenings. There will be special races, a model car contest, tons of food and drinks and numerous vendor displays and booths. This event truly has something for everyone.
The atmosphere is laid back and family oriented. Bring your lawn chair, shade, cool cup and enjoy the sights and fun.
There will be drawings from the many prized donated by wonderful supporters and sponsors.
You Can Win A 1965 Chevy Custom Pickup Truck! Don't Miss Out!
In a recent conversation, "Jeff" White indicated that this beautiful truck restoration was due to the companies and individuals who committed their products and/or time to the project. This is a vehicle that you can drive with pride, not just because it's great looking but knowing that you have helped a great cause.
Jeff also told us that the young people working the show are involved in the "Drug Use Is Life Abuse" program of Orange County, CA. All the more reason to come out to the event, help the community and have a great time.
