Hello fellow TEXANS! I am Nick Richards, AKA MrBeast. I am heading up the Texas chapter of the Chevrolet & GMC International truck club, as well I will be heading up the southwest section from here in Corpus Christi where I live.
Getting this whole ball of wax rolling I figured the best thing I could do is give you some history on myself. My introduction to the 67-72 Chevy trucks came back in 1996 when I bought my first of the CST’s it was a 71 ¾ ton 4x4 with a 4 speed, Advance Adapters Overdrive, and a built up 350, the truck was two tone brown, with an orange frame and drive train, sweet old truck. Unfortunately at the time the truck had a lot of rust in the floor, and it was beyond what my capabilities to repair were. In fact the rust was so bad every time you would press the clutch, the cab would slide back into the bed and a few months later I traded the truck off to a local body shop for a 70 Chevy short bed that they had restored, and then the PO skipped town.
Over the next 2 years, I fixed the short bed up, lifted it up some, stuffed a “mountain motor” in it and went crazy. I had more fun in that truck than a mere mortal man growing up in rural Montana ought to be allowed! But in a moment of stupidity I wound up trading it in on a Suburban (I think that also involved a lot of pressure from my father to get something “more responsible”)
Since that time I have had 4 more of the 67-72 body style including a 67 2wd step side GMC, 1971 long bed ½ ton 2wd “the smurf” 1970 K10 to K30 convert, 454, 4 speed, 205 “Gorgeous George”, 67 2WD long bed fleet site half ton beater later parted, And then the two I have now.
Currently I have a 1972 K/5 blazer with a 454, factory air, and some other goodies. I call him “Brutus”

I also have a 1972 C/30 that is my current project “The Boss Hoss”

Anyhow, I am really excited about getting the club here going, and I am looking forward to meeting you all.
