View Full Version : 4 wheel drive emblem on '72
inglekc 09-22-2008, 12:34 AM I am restoring/customizing a 1972 custom 10 4X4. I am replacing the Custom/10 emblems and the 8 350. Did it originally have the 4-wheel drive emblem on the door. Any help would be appreciated. Below are the most recent pics.

sdailey 09-22-2008, 06:26 AM If I'm not mistaken I've seen the 4wd emblem mounted below the side markers on the front fenders and I've seen them mounted below the C/10 emblem, but never on the doors.
nightmare 09-22-2008, 06:49 AM I'm not sure about the emblem placement, but that sure is a nice looking truck. do you have any more pics and specs?

1972CST 10-01-2008, 05:03 PM Great truck!!! What are the specs on the lift/tires and wheels?
inglekc 10-03-2008, 12:01 AM The lift kit is from jackit, a company from Utah. 6 inch lift with new sky jacker leaf springs all the way around, no blocks. 35X12.50 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws on 15 in. Classic II rims.
I was really impressed with the lift kit from jackit. They had the most complete set, new U bolts, brake lines, everything in 1 package.
ChaseDale3and8 10-03-2008, 09:01 AM Great looking truck! Do you have any pics of what you started with, or any of it during the build? ...Joe
Yukon Jack 10-03-2008, 02:20 PM Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the board!
Great looking truck!!
I think that the 4X4 emblem was used only on the 69 or 70 models. It went under the side marker light. The 71 and 72 had the motor emblem under the side marker light.
special-K 03-25-2009, 03:48 PM The only place the emblem ever went was under the marker light.Well,except`67 where it`s in the same place it`s just not under a marker light:cool:.71/72s never got them.Probably because the engine badge got moved there. The engine badges got moved because Custom Deluxes and Cheyenne Supers came out.Si?:ito:
inglekc 06-07-2009, 09:00 PM Thanks for the info. The truck is mostly complete only a few touch up items to go. Was in its first show in May.
Yukon Jack 06-08-2009, 08:41 AM First show in May and you have posted more pics - not acceptable!!!!
You must post more pics of your beautiful truck!
