I have three acres at the house that should be enough room. I will check to see what weekends I work to figure out the date. If that is ok with everybody. I think a pot-luck would be about the best way to do it, let me know what you think.

bobbo
02-09-2009, 03:21 PM
I do agree that a pot luck would be the way to go. And your property sounds good too if you have the room. :) Most weekends work for me, if I do have to work on a saturday it is only until noon. Give us a heads up on what weekend you are available and we can get it set. I'm going to browse on any upcoming shows or events so we don't interfere with anything already planned that some will be going to.

We did have a track in the yard for quads and dirt bikes but, the new shop is in the middle of turn 3 and 4, the fire pit is in the middle of the front straightaway, and truck parts are blocking the back straightaway.

work always gets in the way of fun, but you got to do it to buy truck parts. I know it is a holiday weekend but was the only weekend I have off from the honey do list, plus it's good to be with friends around a holiday.

Guys I wish I could make it south, but we're heading to KC the two previous weekends (3/27 and 4/4) so a trip to Springfield will be out for me.

I hope to make it to one of the events in the future.

I'd say just leave it as planned. It's always hard to schedule around each individual person, although that would be sweet, we'll just run with it as is. :) JMO.

I spoke with a guy that delivers us parts from Oreilly's that has a sweet arse 57 Chevy Belaire that might come. I know it's not a truck, but he's a really cool guy with a very nice ride. He has to work that day but might come out if we are still hanging later in the afternoon, which I am sure we will be. :)

sswitzke
03-25-2009, 09:39 PM
as long as it's a chevy, we have a fire pit we could have a bondfire that night and the kids can make smoars. If anyone wants I can make a horseshoe pit.

bobbo
03-26-2009, 05:59 AM
I would not invite a F@*d. I know better than that! Bonfire would be cool. I like burning stuff. Kyle enjoys it way more than me though! :) Haven't played horseshoes in forever.

bobbo
03-26-2009, 07:01 AM
The other thing I thought of...I have the banner we used at the Midwest All Truck Nats we can use and put up in your driveway. May make it easier or more noticable. I do have to work the 11th but get off at noon so I will head out right after. PM me with directions sean.

sswitzke
03-27-2009, 12:35 AM
The banner would be good, sent PM with mapquest link for directions.

You don't have to have a truck or have it completed to attend. :) It's awesome to just hang out and bs with everyone. If you are available to attend, come on down! Sure to be a great time!

04-07-2009, 08:31 AM

Let's hear some specifics Brad. What day? I'm off the 16th, although I seriously doubt my truck will be there. Engine isn't going to make it much longer...:(

brad_man_72
04-24-2009, 12:54 PM
the 16th sounds good to me.

a guy i know has some 67-72 sheet metal and a nice 69 chevy grill, maybe some rallys and other stuff, so i was thinking we could make the get together include a swap meet, since we all have a bunch of crap (i mean treasure) laying around.
who knows maybe somebody has an eletronic speedo and a flush mount fuel door setup hint hint*

im really hoping but really doubt my truck will be running by then, so we can create some kind of "i cant drive my old truck" support group.

i whored out the site to the attractive ladies in the white 71 cheyanne swb fleet, maybe they will see this and swing by.
