I'm going to soon start some body work on the 87. One of the doors I bought for it has already had body filler applied to the lower skin but I already notice a crack. I am going to sand out all the filler that was applied and see what lives under there.
If it's workable, I will re-apply filler the correct way. Is Bondo brand filler good or should I really get a different brand? Some have told me the bondo brand is harder to work with and even clogs up the cheese graters.

Personally I like Rage Gold made by a company called Evercoat. It spreads very nice and sands great.
I haven't used Bondo brand in many years, but I do hear that it is not the greatest thing....even though it has given it's name as the "generic" term for body filler.

yeah, stay away from bondo. You can get much better fillers for the same price. I think the biggest problem is where it is sold. It sits on the shelve FOREVER. you need fresher stuff. Buy from your local body shop supply or behind the counter at the parts store that sells body shop supplies.

i use evercoat products daily. i like the rage gold ok but the rage extreme is even better. dries faster & sands easier. usc just came out with pro 7 which is so much like rage extreme, u can't really tell a difference & it's substantially cheaper than rage.
