Last Thursday I was laid off from my 9-5'er, and am now looking for ways to fill my time.

I've been a web developer for the last 10 years, and have specialized in sites that focus around products and services that a company offers. I''ve have worked with businesses both small and large, and can help you answer the question "i need a website, but i don't know what it needs to do". I am also able to help you with online advertising (i worked for a marketing company for the last 5 years) like on google, msn or yahoo. I also have a few graphic designers who were also laid off that can do some freakin awesome graphic work.

Anyways, just wanted to throw it out there that I'm looking for work, no matter the size. You can contact me via email @ levi.rosol@gmail.com

Thanks!

Levi

P.S. - I hope the general forum is an OK place for this post. If not, please move it elsewhere.

I don't have any work for you.

I just wanted to say, "Sorry about the layoff."

Man Levi, that sucks.... I hope you find something soon. I don't know if any of our local businesses need someone with your talents or not. I will watch the local help wanted ads.....

Feeling your pain. I wasn't laid off, but quit my job to move to Vegas in October... been unemployed ever since. Seems almost impossible to get ANY sort of job! Freelance work might be the best option for you. I wish you luck!

thanks for the kind words guys. In reality, this was probably a good thing due to a number of factors. Hopefully I'm able to look back on this a few months down the road and say "Man, that was the best thing that could of happened to me."

Alvin, i sure hope you find something soon. I was reading your build thread the other day and thought to myself, I can't imagine being w/o work for 4 months. especially in vegas. I'm sure i'd get myself in some trouble there :-)

hope you find something soon. What kind of freelance work are you looking for?

FWIW the local paper here is looking for someone to do something or other with their web site. I am totally stupid when it comes to this stuff so please go easy on me.

Now if it was something i could do from my home office, that would be another story.

thanks guys, and gals, for the support here. I really appreciate this forum being created, and hope to see others getting some use out of it. For me, I've already made a couple different contacts from this thread, and have high hopes for those relationships.

I thought you guys might also find this amusing.

I picked up this shirt a few months ago. I was on Woot.com and showed up while I was in the middle of concocting my next brilliant idea and considering going out of my own. Now that last week is over, and I'm moving forward, I try to wear it as often as i can. especially if i'm meeting up with my fellow lay-off'ees. I just seems to fit the situation well:

So I have an update. Last week I was offered a job that I have accepted. From an IT / nerd perspective, it is going to be a very interesting job doing some GIS work. Something I have never done before. I am really looking forward to learning some new stuff.

I also was contacted by a couple people via this thread, and will be following up with them regarding their potential projects. I hope others have the kind of luck I've had in landing something new.
